There is no ADSL light at all but there is dial tone when connected to telephone. Localhost ping 0ms with all package sent and receive. What is the pb? DB box from tmnut>?

im suffering the same problem since yesterday. Using Belkin ADSL2 + Modem with Wireless-G Router

When connect using LAN cable showing limited or no connectivity. Wifi unable to detect. TElephone also cannot detect. Cannot access 192.168.2.1

hopefully all sifus can help!

and fyi, there is no tmnet anymore. and tmnut? wth is that tmnut? wink.gif
call 100 and tell your problem to them.

i think it got struck by lightning yesterday. My avr fuse burnt, my pc cannot turn on. *sigh*.

i turned off everything yesterday. Its just that i didnt take out the plug. sob

in the future, you should get AVR or ups, and protect your computer power supply & telephone line. i use UPS over 4 years, and my computer online almost every day including heavy rains and tebabooooo lightning. luckily, the computer survived.

wat do u mean, telephone cannot detect??

oh, missed out that you did mention about avr. well, you live in a place which has strong lightning, which regular surge protector cannot protect biggrin.gif

but i suggest that you check your earthing. i mean the whole house. sometime improper wiring of earth can cause electronic appliances inside the house easy infected by spike.

just want to share, 4 years ago, my electric supply seems like "intermittent". always blinking. then i bought UPS to prevent my pc keep rebooting because of lost of supply. at first, i always blame TNB for their unstable supply, when i look over my wiring, guess what, my main switch is longgar already. replace a new one, there is no more blinking since then. biggrin.gif

depends, i saw my friend's modem which is dlink 300G strike by lightning because he pandai-pandai pullout the phone cable from phoneline protector and direct connect the modem to phone line.

and guess what. still can ping the modem ip from pc, and reply is >3000ms. biggrin.gif

Try another modem, if there is still no ADSL light, most probably it's Streamyx service down in ur area.
