my turn to ask...lol
my psp uses CXMB (done the plugin n all...CXMB functions ok)
if i buy a new mspd...can i just insert it, format and use it? have to do the cxmb plugin on the new mspd oso? coz i'm plannin on using 2 mspds...1for games, another for music, movie, etc...so if i want anything i just swap mspds...help me..thanks
*

cxmb is stored in ur mspd, so they wont mess wif ur flash files. so, if u change ur mspd after using a ctf, after sytem reboot, it will change back to normal.

Hi,

I am actually in dilemma of either getting PSP 3000 or DS Lite.

Anyway, here are my questions
1) Is the current the best CFW is chickHEN mod and 5.50 FW?
2)is the largest battery for PSP3000 rated at 3600 mAH only? I can't seem to find higher capacity.
3)Is there any modification for the face buttons? I have quite a large hand, and when I was testing the PSP Go I find the keys are too small.

Thats all for now. Thanks for reading smile.gif

1. for psp3k and v3 psp2k, current cfw are based on chickhen r2 and 5.03gen-b, while for psp1k and psp2k current are 5.50gen-d2
2. tho it says 3600mAH, third party battery doesnt last long as its suggest. ur better off buying another spare ori battery from deal extreme. rite lacus?
3. pspgo IS NOT the same wif psp3k,2k or 1k. what modification are u wanting? nds are smaller IMO.

my suggestion? get a psp2k (not v3 mobo) or psp1k. u'll not regret it. seriously. thumbup.gif

question here,i havent use my psp for long time oredi, mine is phat one,can i install nowdays latest CFW on it?izzit still compatible?if can, which is the good one should i use?thanks icon_question.gif

I think ur psp phat is still compatible with the latest cfw. the latest one is cfw gen-d2.
But u have to install from gen-a first, then gen-b, and all the way to gen-d2.
dont skip any process.

the only psp that is not compatible with certain cfw are psp 2000 (psp slim) that use motherboard version 3 and all psp 3000. these psp if use wrong cfw can cause psp to brick.

only my 2cents.

Hmm, the only difference I can see between PSP2K and 3K is that 3K has better screen.

And the mods I'm talking about is larger buttons for D-pad and the PS logo buttons for PSP2K/3K, sorry for the confusion. Since I know it is impossible to mod PSP GO(too small)
And I guess there's no way to change the LCD screen either tongue.gif

So the smart choice would be a PSP2K with CFW, then I'll be able to play games. Right?

how big is ur hand? i don think there is button mod for it. my fren twice my size, oso had no problem wif it..

psp3k = brighter screen, internal mic = like v3 mobo psp2k, can only uses temporary cfw. = no pandora battery for it, if brick, die lor

psp2k (not v3 mobo) = psp1k = can put permanent cfw = pandora battery available if u brick ur psp

so, its ur choice.
