Let's say I start my blog with blogspot.com but decided to switch to other pay domain few months later, is there a problem to migrate all the data over?

Look for a good decent hosting provider.. They will gladly move your data to their server.. =)

some advice for blogger who considering to move from ur free blogging plaform to paid hosting.
You need to know how much is your website traffic for recent 3 months.
When you source for new hosting provider, you need to check whetherhe package are designed to allowed to the level of resources that you requre for your blog instead of just looking only the pricing of that hosting package.
