1. Other than www.blogspot.com, how to create a blog for exp. www.yourname.com or www.yourname.net (without the .blogspot.com) do we need to pay for this?

.com .net and other TLD is not free.. Thus u need to pay it.. U can use blogspot blog and use the domain u buy with ur current blogspot blog or u can get hosting then install wordpress cms..

If you want to create blog without using blogspot, you will need following:

1- Hosting Space - Start from RM15
2- Domain Name - Start from RM35

Tip: When choosing a hosting provider, you must make sure it's using cPanel control panel and include Fantastico. it's for you convenience use.

- cPanel is the most user friendly control panel
- Fantastico is One click installer to assist you to create Blog and others CMS.

hi everyone, anyone got any ideas where to get cheap domain??mayb send me the link??

another question , if i use custom domain name on blogspot, does it mean that i host it on blogspot but use my own domain??

I can continue blogging as usual using blogspot interface just that my url is different?

Pls enlighten me on this.thanks

ezzygood, i'm thinking to create a new website with own hosting space & domain name, how to start after purchase of hosting & domain?

I'm using blogger (blogspot) for my blogs, if i want to switch it to my own hosting (not yet purchase), how to transfer the contents to new hosting? Can i use back the same blogger template or need to design a new one? thanks.

For transfer the contents from blogger to new hosting

# Import for Blogger: Go to Manage > Import to begin the import process for Blogger. All post content, comments, and categories are imported.
# Fix Images: Images, unfortunately, are now hotlinked to your Blogger/Blogspot site which Blogger will not allow. Images need to be uploaded again to your new WordPress blog.

you can't using back blogger theme as wordpress theme is much different than blogger...

Blogger's images are saved in Picasa Web Albums, can transfer from this album?

I have more than 2000 posts and 1 posts at least 1 photo, so few thousands photos, how to upload 1 by 1, it must drives me to crazy...

not really.if u can managed to grab some coupons or they're having promotion, they u're lucky. if i, i'll survey all those reputable name registarar and take a look at serious-webmaster-forum like www.v7n.com/forums to find coupons and hear what they talk about those registrar.

i'm thinking to registed a domain name, just to try the adsense for domain, see whether I got luck to earn from that dorment domain, so any idea where to grab the coupon for cheap registration? thanks.

If you only want to try on adsense for domain, maybe you can consider get a .info from namecheap, it just $2.99 per year
By the way, if you are interested to get domain from godaddy, you get the promo code list from http://blogbloging.blogspot.com/2009/09/go...-code-list.html

$2.99 per month is expensive la, one year around $36. GoDaddy without promo is $10/yr register via google. will check out your link for the promo code, thanks.
