i slowly starting losing faith on current liverpool fc...

yet i still wear the liv shirt and receive mocking from friends calling i'm a liverfools.

yet sometimes , what more priviledge for me to be mocked yet still supporting and loving the club...

how many of them get to feel that before? i guess none...

been getting sticks ever since i supported livpool....was never around back in the winning days so never had any real good times.....

so what's another season of sticks and ridicule from rival fans? been taking that for 10 odd years now...kida get used to it....but who cares its the heart that counts...at least we know deep down that we supported the club n not just the glory (hint - some club's theme song is all about glory, no passion icon_rolleyes.gif )

We should target Aguero . icon_rolleyes.gif  laugh.gif
Well just a suggestion.

i want david villa at liverpool. his partnership with torres will flourish.

Now let's see which "wunderkid" we'll get  brows.gif

I reckon we might need someone who's more like Cesc Fabregas.

Or Sneidjer kind of a player.
*

players like fabregas and sneidjer will hardly get their chance coz their position same as Gerrard. unless rafa decided to play Gerrard as second striker behind torres and let either (if they join liverpool) fabregas or sneidjer run the engine room.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 8 2009, 08:58 AM)
Years ago Patrick Berger was only used sparingly by Houllier when he first signed up. He begged the gaffer to give him a run in the first team and Houllier duly obliged. Turned out to be an excellent decision by the boss. Now we have Babel asking Rafa for the same opportunity. Hmm...

the reason why we bought Aquaman and not added new striker this season..

4-5-1 is Rafa standard formation...

4-5-1 may can use in Europe and win you CL. But for league game, 4-5-1 is not good enough, as 80% of time, you are facing lower position team which you need to win at least 2-0 for securing 3 points ie. the game you must attack attack, not sitting or passing ball around the defender in own area <---- which a lot of game Liverpool has bulk of the possession in statistic but real offensive move is not there, so lose the game with 60% possession.

Loss to big team never mind, but it is the consistent win against the lower league team win you the league title. MU win the league last year despite had the poor result overall against the rest big 4 teams.

yeap. MU excelled against lower opposition but fail to win twice against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. Liverpool excelled against top 4 teams but stuttered against lower opposition.

yeah.. paddy pre-knee-injury was the last decent winger. since then no one ever closed to replace macca. riera can be a decent winger if he can play regularly and avoid being injured. "we lack of wide men" is a common cry from liverpool's fans.

do you know any youth in the reserve or academy that has potential to be a good wide player?

these are the days of modern dynamic tactics.
no longer does a team stay fixed to 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 etc.
the beauty of 4-5-1 that has been mentioned before is its able to morph to diff formations depending on how heavy the attack or defense is.
basically the problem doesnt lie in the formation rafa uses, rather it lies in our midfielders lack of getting into the box to attack, or even providing the penetrating passes needed for torres.
which i guess is why torres has been playing slightly deeper than usual since gerrard's injury as we obviously lack creative players in the middle.
so then who does rafa push higher up? voronin? tongue.gif

Good news... still unfit but it's a morale boost for the team...
Aquaman will make his Anfield debut.

match fitness is still a problem cos the dolt doesnt want to give him a damn start.
at least even give him a couple more starts in the reserves to build up fitness, but noooo instead so far he's only gotten a 15min runout 2.5 weeks ago against sunderland reserves...wtf.

4-5-1 is a very flexible formation, can switch to 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 anytime during the game...
4-4-2 for me is always the best..

At home against birmingham, there's no better time to give him his debut...
I think he's ready.. but Rafa has spend more time with him in training ground, maybe he saw something we don't.
Or maybe he just loves to watch Lucas playing...

1-0? 2-0? or 3-0? haha.
For me currently liverpool's players too many injured.

So 2-1 win is good enough. No clean sheet for us.

we might see 3-4 unfit players start the game.. Rafa has no other choice but to pick the best available players even they're still not fully recovered. they can have a rest during the next International break.

A loss now infact will be good for the club in the long run as it will make the Yanks rethink to sell this club to the Arabs faster...............

NO THEY WONT DO IT

Hicks has no plans to sell off Liverpool's stars

With Skrtel out, Carra suspended, that would mean another game for the partnership of Krygiakos and Agger. At the moment, I feel insecure for this partnership mainly due to the fact that Agger and Krygiakos' understanding was the main factor we conceded the late goal against Lyon.Wouldn't expect a clean sheet but would expect the rest of the lad step up and score a couple of goals and avoid risking Torres.
