So I guess if I bought Vista-enabled laptop back in March, I still have to pay the full price for the OEM upgrade huh?

From what I know, the pricing of Windows 7 in Malaysia will reflect the prices of US, so you can actually base the price from what was released in US, do a conversion (3.4 conversion rate now), that way you can confirm the prices that was posted here.

it's an upgrade.

"Moving to Windows 7 Home Premium from Windows Vista Home Basic or Home Premium qualifies as an upgrade. All other paths, including a move from a 64-bit edition of Windows Vista to a 32-bit edition of Windows 7, require a more detailed re-installation process. "

thing is, TS posted that the family pack can only upgrade from Vista Home Premium while on microsoft site it states that Home Basic is also eligable. So which is correct? I have 2 comps with Premium and 1 with Basic, i wanna be sure i can upgrade all all them to Windows 7 if i get the family pack.

Someone should definitely ask if the Family Pack is coming to Malaysia or not.
But at least I know how much money to bring for the Low Yat Launch Event next Saturday.
