QFT. The best mantra to follow in the world of ever changing technology is; if you need it get it now.

By the way, Dell Malaysia is already shipping its systems with Win 7 if you decide to purchase it now.

haha..i dont really need it now i guess...i m too tempted to watch movies on that LED screen and I wanna play newer games like Dragon Age. I have not been playing any PC games for so long due to most games now have high requirements...my current lappy is 3 years old already. But i am always afraid that if i buy it now...there will be something new after a week

dedicated is better than definitely in term of performance but it eats more battery life and produces more heat.
laptop can not be upgraded, just hdd and ram.
so buy the best component you can get and suit you.

if its not for gaming or gpu intensive program, intel gpu should be enough for hd movie and other task.

Define your GAMING pleasure...well,there are a lot of type of GAMING...hardcore (intense GC usage), mild (just need some mid/low end GC) or light (online gaming)

If you a light/mild gamer than Dv3 would be quite nice for you but if you a hardcore gamer than Dv3 is not a wise choice...maybe you can consider getting Dell Studio 15 instead (well, with your budget this is the best gaming laptop you can get)...want something that is much more cheaper than Asus K40Ab/K50Ab would be a good choice too....

*GC = Graphic Card

***just my 1 cent

Added on October 20, 2009, 2:00 pmanother suggestion would be BenQ S42 (comes with P8700 & 9600M GT)~price RM3250--->john-jay2 promo...market price = RM3399

Hi,

Need you reccomendation guys.

1. Brand. -> Any brand is OK for me
2. Budget. -> less than RM2500
3. Specs. -> Need good and consistent monitor, will be used for photo editing
4. Size. -> 14 inch is ok, weight not much issue.

Any good alternatives for me?

Thanks !

in terms of performance, benq s42is the best for the given price.
asus u80v wins with its 2 year international warranty and slightly lighter weight.

Ahoy there mateys. (insert pirate accent)
In my quest for a new laptop, I need yer help.
Here are my requirements:

1. Brand - Not picky.
2. Budget - Rm 2500 or less
3. Specs - I'll be using it mostly for watchin movies, listenin to music and the occasional gaming. (RO, CS-Source, and depending on how good it is, I may purchase better games accordingly)
4. Size - Well, some spaciousness will be good since I'm gonna use it to watch movies and stuff.

Cheers!
