This material looks like a very compact cotton from the youtube vid...

But it doesn't come with any adhesive surface, nor it looks like butlyn where you can heat up and stick...

I would really like to know how the acc. shop is going to apply it to your doors.
If you plan to go for it, hope you can snap some photos and share.

Thanks in advance.

hello guys. wanna ask some question.

how do u apply these soundproof? do u cover the whole metal panel?

logically speaking, if u apply evenly on the panel, it becomes a 'part' of the panel right? which means it can still resonate?

if u break it into strips and apply it with small gaps (3 inch with, 0.5 inch without and repeat), then it will break the consistency (cant think of a suitable word now) of the panel so it wont resonate due to this inconsistency of the surface.

errr.. does that make sense? i get these weird questions in my head sometimes. i just wana clarify. pls let me know if im not making sense. :S

OH i just thought of a good example. scanspeak revelator. slits in the cone!

u add material to the metal to make it heavier, so it will resonate less, or harder to resonate, or only resonates at lower frequencies compared to before

STP is a place or name of product? I am planing to soundproof 2 doors to minimize the road noise and also improve the mid bass (will it kill rattling sound caused by the component mid bass as well?).

Pls advise notworthy.gif
