Metal sound wil be easy to kill as u need to find it by urself by knocking ur door partial by partial until u find it, i had been using this formula to eliminate my car unwanted sound but til now stil canot get it fully done... rclxub.gif , bcoz i lowered down my ride rclxub.gif

Like sifu-sifu said u muz get it applied correctly, even the clips area also produce a little bit of annoying noise when car vibrating, im using black PVC tape to overcome this problem.

Here's a DIY sample of InsuDamp on my ride..

you have to take off the door panel.. then the plastic water proof sheet... then you can reach the inner part already... do it piece by piece and cover the whole metal sheet that your hand could reach... done...

Use hand apply lolz..

Tips for u, try use hot air + roller when u apply it, like install tinted film, force out all air, the result is amazing thumbup.gif

Nicely done... You really put in great effort, I can see all the curvy and round edges being dealt with skill handwork thumbup.gif

How many rolls did you used just for this door?

Did you put your clear plastic back, to protect water getting into your doors?

The inner part of doors is previously i paid a shop to do it, they use other type of bitumen n cost me 80 bucks/door shakehead.gif

Then i bought Insudamp from KhGuan n install 4 layers at outer part, 1 roll enough for 4 doors.

These dampening sheet used to replace the plastic sheet, so no longer use it, i also heard ppl saying that water may comes in, but so far few titik oni la... no big deal...

I think what he mentioned was, 1 roll enough for 4 layers. 1 layer each door...so ma 4 layers lor... true not? rclxub.gif

Anyway, RM80/doors is FREAKING expensive... But that is normal how a acc. shop will charge. For that price I think they use Sika on your doors.

Errr... I'm not sifu, but I can teach you how.

Use a heat-gun to soften the butyln, then start to remove it using something sharp...

...Basically all you have to do is to soften the black compount, then the removal process should not be a problem.

Ya, why do you want to remove it?

use petrol... then clean the petrol layer with soap... petrol are not good for the paint as it will peel if you leave it there for long...

I used the bitumen strip from hardware shop on my last ride..The quality if bitumen strip is same with bitumen sound proof material that I bought from someone said it use as sound proof material

Bitumen strip from hardware much cheaper from the one that claimed to be sound proof material.

I really satisfied my DIY..door closing must like conti car.very solid and heavy.Sound sys more better.
