Actually a lot of new cars do have their own dampening materials fitted during assembly stage.

Like Naza and BLM which I am aware of.

I was advised to do 2 layers of dampening + 1 layer of absorption, 2 doors.
Do you provide installation? If yes how much will it be?

It depends on your purpose to soundproof and how much effect you want.

...But of course effect is very subjective.

Always work on your budget and decide. Try la to balance between expectation and budget... smile.gif

It depends on what sort of material used as well... It you want to dampen, make sure it sticks to the surface instead of free moving.

For the floor hor.... i think we can use the normal car rubber mat also...

maybe put 2 layers or one layer rubber then add superlon for the floor.

I experience this in the bus b4, where the bus driver put the rubber mat on the opening of the engine from the top beside the driver. when the rubber mat is on it is quiet...but then when he remove it then it's noisy although the shutter is closed...

I would suggest to use open-cell materials for floor board, instead of the close-cell type.

The difference would be the feeling when you step onto your car, and also open-cell absorb noise better.

Just an idea. smile.gif

freestyler was only expanding on carpet + carpet idea

not everyone rich man can dynamat whole car ma....me myself still no ice since 2003

anyway, dynamat or sika or any sound dampening product that has adhesive on the back will be better for doors and other body panels

plus id stay away from foam type material inside doors, not only absorbs moisture and promote rusting, but also absorbs bass....

my fren wanted to save money and put insuflex in his doors, all midbass gone liao....

The insulation foam still help, in a way.
...Only if you apply it correctly...etc your door guard and roof.
