the signal in Malaysia is detectable by the zune. That's nice for those who always want to hear favorite stations while on the move. The signal that got is quite good. Almost like mp3 128kb quality. You can save favorite frequencies and quickly listen to the radio stations.

Don't forget with 15usd permonth you can download unlimited songs using zune pass.

do you have to download some shitty software to transfer music/videos to the Zune? One thing I hate about iPods is about the compatibility of iTunes. Is it a usb drag-and-copy thing for the Zune?

Hi there, only normal fm is detectable. I was commenting on audio quality when getting the normal fm.

compare this to ipod touch...any ideas and experienced handling those two(ipod touch and zune hd)?

I'd give Ipod touch a better rating in term of user interface fluidity, browsing experience, and also Apps store. However Microsoft is working hard to catch up with Ipod Touch. There are some area that I like on Zune compared to Ipod.

Lighter - Zune is 30% lighter than Ipod touch. For such a small device 30% is impressive and you will appreciate the lightness more along the way of using zune day by day.

Battery life - 2.5 hours longer than Ipod Touch.

HD out - capable of playing HD video but need to buy optional dock

Faster Charger rate - 2 hours full charge on wall adapter, 3 hours on USB. Faster charger rate will let you have lesser charge cycle because if it took longer, you'll probably have more half-charge, which is countable as 1 charge cycle.

It's not Ipod Touch - There are too many Apple Fan with Ipod touch or Iphone. If you want to be different, Zune is the best thing that you can have. And there aren't many Zune users in Malaysia. You'll be the earliest adopter and awe your friends with awesome zune's display

You've just missed a potential buyer, I'm afraid.

I called you with regard to this, since 2pm until now, and nobody answered. Weird that I had you answering the enquiry for the Transformers 2 BD just before that. The buyer is not from LYN, but going with me to Paris tonight. The deal was if you could finish the COD before 5pm, he's in. Unfortunately since nobody answered the call, he's traipsing towards the iPod Touch instead.

Unless you can meet in KL Sentral between 8-9pm tonight, or God forbid, KLIA before tonight's Paris departure at 11:40pm, he's buying his first audio player. Shame too, since he was leaning pretty heavily on the Zune. Him and me are polar opposites, me Apple he Microsoft.

I'll ask him if he is still interested. A lot of folks in my social circle are expatriates who travel around but do not have access to these items so they turn to me to see if I can get items for them. The Zune being one of them. I'll see if the others are interested but judging from his response on his Touch he seemed happy. I for one don't need one, already have a Platinum Zune in LA. 

EDIt:Lemme rephrase that. They depended on me to make sure these "tech-related" purchases are the right one for them, hence the partially exclusive decision-making process on which gadget is suitable for them, is shouldered by me. I hope you're not reading this, Curtis!
