ok, here's the story...
my roommate had 1 Vostro 1400 which has the 8400M GS...
It burnt twice during the 1 year n 2 months v him...
The second time it got burnt, I've got the chance to ask the technician, which came to repair the laptop for the 2nd time...
The technician said that the GC of Vostro 1400 is integrated one, and mine, Inspiron 1520 is external one...
The technician said most burnt ones are the integrated ones...
My roommate didn't ask other techinician outside to repair it, but called Dell and repaired by their technician...
So, is my source trustable??

ok, did some home work to make u guys feel safer into buying this laptop,
by reading through the links i posted, it is obvious that my laptop isn't listed as those v potential graphic failure problem...
i guess Dell guys know which chip they use on which laptop rite?? nod.gif

Dunno which technician told you so, but some of the NVidia graphics card that fix on Dell laptops has overheating issue.

I have personally seen the laptop.
Good condition and nice chap, unfortunately i
am looking into others after selling my Macbook Pro 17" 2 days ago.

Its in a nice condition, well kept.

The best part was my house got burglarized yesterday evening, and those thiefs took my
22" Samsung Lcd Monitor and i neither have a laptop or a Monitor.
But luckily for me, my office had a 14" Nec Crt monitor, which i am using
now! mad.gif

Can you imagine, guys stealing and riding off on a motorcycle, lucky otherwise
they might have taken my 2 antique P4 and Amd destops.. smile.gif
Also i had sold of my Macbook laptop, otherwise, that would have gone too,
but maybe they would have left me my 22" Lcd Monitor.. vmad.gif

Well, thse sort of stuff is very common nowadays and you only hear people
getting robbed, and you never think its your turn next!

Cheers
