Since you guys talked about HLB, I would like to join the fray too. biggrin.gif

My frustration with HLB has developed over years. I had a car loan and cc, and currently have a home loan with HLB. Their cash deposit terminals are the lousiest in Malaysia. Most of the terminals are dilapidated and thus unable to detect notes efficiently. Just imagine that each customer has to spend 10 minutes to keep trying to deposit cash. Moreover, the terminals are always out of service during early morning and night time as well as weekends.

Their cheque deposit machines are another nightmare to me. They are still using the old-fashioned envelope and bank-in slip, while other banks have been using self-service cheque deposit machines for ages. In addition, their envelopes and bank-in slips are persistently out of stock!

Furthermore, a lot of HLB branches, including some branches in KL Golden Triangle, have yet to be equipped with cash deposit terminals and cheque deposit machines!!

I do not mean to sabotage HLB, but all the above are based on my actual experience with them. If it is not because of the 5-year lock-in period of my HLB home loan, I should have already terminated all my accounts with them.

He said he is not qualified for any credit card offered by banks in Singapore as the requirement is too high for foreigners.

Okay ! So UOB Bank will not waive the stupid fee, not even for their Privilege Banking customers. I expect all other banks will announce the very same thing soon sad.gif

wanted to check with you guys, how do I add another cc into my citibank online?? As I've registered for the cash back but I can't register for Airasia Card~!
*

If you have a banking account (savings, current, etc) with Citibank, your card should be added automatically. If you only have credit cards with Citibank, you need to create a new Citibank Online account for each card. I have experienced this personally and also confirmed by CS.

Like you guys, it's time for me to decide which cards to cut and which to keep.
1) CIMB Gold Master (kept for retail promo) - cut
2) Citibank Gold Master - cut
3) Citibank Giant Master - cut
4) SCB Business Platinum Visa - cut
5) SCB JustOne Master - keep
6) Public Bank Visa (came with car loan) - cut
7) Public Bank Esso Visa - keep
8) HSBC Gold Visa (kept for retail promo) - cut
9) HSBC Gold Master (kept for retail promo) - cut
10) Alliance Platinum Visa - keep

I liked the HSBC cards. Got some gifts during approval, my first 2 birthdays with them, and some various free gifts during promotions. But their points ain't evergreen sad.gif

So I guess it's RM50x3 per year for me to keep my cards... ouch...

You may need to work for at least 6 months and apply for cc subsequently. Banks need to evaluate your income stability.

It could be due a few factors, such as your payment track record, credit exposure, incomplete of supporting documents for application, etc.

my document is complete, double check it myself. i dont even have any cc yet, so i doubt anything to do with my bad credit. so far only have car loan, but i pay it on time monthy.

surprised by the rejection, but i dont really care that much. with recent 'massive' cut on cc, i wonder why they reject me. i'm not in rush to use any cc, i do it for a fren favor...he get the referral reward tongue.gif

Since you have decided to keep Amex Gold cc and MBB Plat MC, I would suggest you to keep a VISA from another bank. Likewise, just keep the 2 cards and cancel the rest. smile.gif

Are you sure? The RM50 service tax will be collected by the government and so far none of the banks has the authority to waive it. I guess you must have been confused with annual fee waiver or welcome gift in form of cash rebate offered by SCB.

Nope I specifically asked about the Service tax. I said well even with the 100 preloaded Im thinking of just cancelling it now without even using it. The person on the other side told me that they will waived it. Hope he holds up to it

although the bank has no authority to waive the rm50 service tax DIRECTLY, i think the bank can compensate us by giving us rm50 annual rebate to offset the service tax INDIRECTLY

guess government cant stop bank from doing this. but its the decision is up to the bankers

Let's see whether banks will make an official announcement of the service tax. Until then, I will avoid speculations that banks will give the RM50 as a direct or indirect waiver. Coz anything can happen ... last time it was only UOB who did this several years back, now they are the first one (apparently based on the earlier post in this forum) who announced that they will not pay this tax on behalf of their customers .... their Premier Customers are not spared.

Aiyo... already give you RM100 free somemore want to cancel because of the RM50 meh?

I have confirm to maintain Citibank Shell Gold and SCB Business Platinum for rebate purpose. Still got a SCB Plat Mastercard which Im unsure whether to cut or not. The RM100 from SCB is enough to cover both their cards service tax.

Cards that I have cancelled:-

1. HSBC Classic - Discount normally for normal price item. Usually shop during sales.
2. RHB Tesco & Travel Money - Useless
3. Alliance Gold - Not happy with billing.. want more details on rebate like Citi/SCB

Need to call EON to cancel my card application I think. Cant pity those card agents anymore. Infact I havent seen any of them lately in shopping malls.
