If you are running KDE, you should be able to get it work using KNetworkManager. Make sure you get the latest KNetworkManager though, I heard there's an online update to address some issue with updating /etc/resolv.conf (I'm on GNOME so I cant confirm this with you)

Otherwise you can try UMTSmon. I used UMTSmon when I still have those usb modems, works with Maxis and Celcom (Never try digi though but should work as well).
1. You'll need both the package umtsmon and usb_modeswitch. Install them in yast or using zypper
2. Start UMTSmon from menu, i'll do 1st time config. Let it do its job
3. Press connect after you get signal. Wait..
4. After connected, you should be able to browse the web. Otherwise check your /etc/resolv.conf
5. If /etc/resolv.conf doesn't have the DNS of Maxis broadband. Follow the guide here:
Seife's assorted rants

You can either follow the guide from the original author, or look at comment by Jari.

Hope it helps. smile.gif

I'm also experienced the same prob in Ubuntu 9.10, try to connect the internet using U Mobile Broadband (ZTE MF622), through the NettworkManager applet, since wvdial can't use anymore. I've created a custom setting in the applet, put the phone number, APN, and also PIN, it still stuck. After that, I downgrade to Ubuntu 9.04, actually, in this version, the Celcom APN sticked in it, than when try to connect U Mobile, the connection still goes to Celcom APN although have changed the wvdial and setting in NetworkManager a lot of times. Last step is, I've downgraded to Ubuntu 8.10, finally can connect back using wvdial, and after this, try to upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04 the slow and safest way =)
