RM999 is what spec, so cheap?
how come I see the All IT booklet stated for RM1299? overall this thing is good for living room media PC, Nvidia ION is capable of decoding H.264 HD video on the fly, so the slower Atom processor doesnt pose problems. If only the warranty can extend to 3 years, coz mobo of these kind is expensive to replace |

Doesn't lag on the single core N230 I tested. Don't expect to multitask while watching 1080p movies though. This post has been edited by Beouwulf: Aug 9 2009, 08:37 AM |

Firstly you have to take out a small piece of the wireless receiver inside the mouse and attach it to the slot just on top of the on/off button.
Then turn your keyboard around and you will notice there is a small button with the word "connect". Press this butoon and it will connect your keyboard and mouse to the Revo. Ater that it is all systems go. I also got mine today and Acer is shit for not stating this properly in the manual. Mine has some problems in the CPU hangs a couple of times and I need to reboot it. Don't know why and see how it goes in the next couple of days. What I don't like is the slow boot when powering up. And when it's up the screen will turn black for a while and you need to press any key on the keyboard only then it will show up on the screen. I am not sure whether this happens on a PC monitor cos I am hooking it up by HDMI to my LCD. |

More questions here...
Is the Windows Vista® Home Premium x32 bits or x64 bits? x64 bits utilize RAM better? The graphic core, Geforce 9400, good? great? Appreciate anyone who can answer this. Added on August 10, 2009, 4:03 pmCan anyone also confirm that this system OS can be upgrade (FREE?) to windows 7? Thanks. This post has been edited by nkw: Aug 10 2009, 04:03 PM |

QUOTE(ching4ever @ Aug 10 2009, 05:28 PM) wonder is it better or dell studio hybrid? anyone use dell hybrid before? care to do some comparison? I surveyed Dell Hybrid before. The only advantage I see in Hybrid is that it has a slot in DVD drive (which Revo don't have). Other than that the retail price for Hybrid is RM 1999 (Revo is RM 1499), graphic core (Hybrid is Intel 3100, CANNOT customize) not better than Revo (Nvidia 9400), plus you have to buy an EXTRA wi-fi device (cost like RM 70+) since Hybrid don't have it integrated. However, you can customize Hybrid to be a more powerful machine such as changing the processor, but it will cost you, a lot. You can check out review online for Hybrid, also check out Dell malaysia website to see how far can you customize the Hybrid (I tried once, customize every specs to the best, the price is like RM 7xxx to Rm 8xxx).
