Aiseh... cannot see him racing in F1 again...
Unfortunate for those fans who bought tickets just to watch him racing...

Oh well... too effin' bad.
Just for the few weeks where F1 seems to be exciting again, it is now down back to boringness. Pity the people who bought tickets to see him race. I wonder how they feel now.

Well it's just to generate interest. As some of us pointed out, he has been out of the car far too long, which is why we don't really believe he would drive in the first place.

Also Ferrari has confirmed that Luca Badoer will drive in place of SchumacherMassa at Valencia

Lol, just as I expected

If Schumi didn't get the green light for testing, he might use his neck injury as a reason, don't flame me haha.

So, now it seems like Santander is going to sign a sponsorship deal with Ferrari which further fuel the speculation that Alonso is going to Ferrari.

And on top of that, Ferrari surely want to please the new sponsor, who knows, by letting Alonso race for Ferrari at Valencia !

I can only imagine that SkyBet would have to refund those 'Schumacher Special' bets lol

He is their best test driver. Around Wurz and de la Rosa's age, so not that old

maybe they should get the Stig to be the driver tongue.gif

Seriously maybe they should call on Villeneuve if he is not too busy recording new album and still trying to complete the triple crown of motorsport?

Riiight.
And all of a sudden we completely forgot about Massa. I'd say theres a rather high chance of him racing in Singapore though.

Lol, sportcenter is based in Singapore. Thus they need to attract more people to Singapore. Honestly he WON'T race anymore as that injury is a fracture. Something that you can't force upon to heal.

Anyways, this post summed it nicely
QUOTE
I don’t think that Michael "bottled it" and used his neck injury as an excuse, but I do have to reflect that it was all a bit Mansellesque. A lot of this was out of Michael’s hands, wasn’t it? Press, fans and blogs all predictably going nuts and expecting, not just a solid fill-in from Michael out of loyalty, but something sensational that, let’s face it, wasn’t gonna happen. Expectations are the key, course. Plenty of drivers are capable of filling in and scoring useful points for the constructor’s title, but the fanzone was clearly wetting its pants for a lot more than that, wasn’t it? Otherwise, why all the excitement? He was gonna thrash Kimi, show Lewis and Jenson and Vettel how it’s done, etc. etc. etc. In the event, he didn’t make it past the first hurdle and it’s all just a bit sad.

I’m sure there will forever be claims that if only his neck had been up to it, he’d have done just that and shown them all up. I don’t believe it, personally, and here’s why. If F1 is worth watching at all, it’s because it truly is tough at the top, the sharp end is what it’s cracked up to be, as has been proved time and again, and there is no magic ingredient to success; in fact it would devalue the whole endeavour if there was some magic control knob, activated by your name or your past achievements, that could lead to immediate success. If the BGP and McLaren stories of 2009 don’t show that, I don’t know what does. A proper, cold reflection on why Michael was so good in the first place should show this to be the case. If you think he’d have hopped into the F60 and shown them all a clean pair of heels, then presumably you think that Ross Brawn was a superfluous element at Ferrari, that Kimi is a wastrel that Ferrari keeps on its payroll for no good reason, so is Massa (he hasn’t won, or looked like winning, in the F60 either), and Michael simply wasn’t trying from 1996 to 1999 when he drove for Ferrari but failed to achieve the domination he was obviously capable of. Surely Michael’s own career, when he was a younger man and didn’t have a dodgy neck, shows that it takes time to get all the elements in place, to gel with the team and the car; in fact this is his great purported strength - that he motivated his team on multiple fronts, attracted the best people in F1 to work with him and, step by step, optimized every aspect of the package, from the way he gained time in the pit access road to his superior fitness to the way the governing body acted sympathetically on his behalf. The environment he was planning to step back into in Valencia was a very different one from that, the car and the team management considerably less impressive, the competition arguably sharper and tighter than ever.

I appreciate that it’s easy to downplay what Michael might have done in the F60 with the hindsight of today’s announcement, but I think there’s a clear argument for realism that still respects his achievements. For me, F1 moved on, and it’s time to recognize that. If Ayrton were still alive, he wouldn’t be setting the place alight in an F1 car now, either (actually one would hope he’d have spent years improving the lives of Brazil’s poor, as it seemed he might go on to do – something really meaningful - but it’s almost too painful to think about all that). A new generation of young athletes arrived, some capable of pushing or beating Alonso over the long run, a man who, like it or not, vanquished Michael over two seasons in a far more meaningful comparison than we were ever going to get from a few fill-in races in late 2009, with one of the protagonists unfamiliar with his machinery and with his "dream team" scattered to the winds. In this regard, I think those people who thought we were going to see a decisive outcome that demonstrated the brilliance that made Michael the all-time record holder, were, a bit like Mansell fans in 1995, with their memories of the domination of the Red 5 Williams cars, being rather hopeful. Senna and Schumacher drove against each other in F1 from late ’91 to early ’94 – a much longer period that the Massa fill-in was likely to be; is there an overwhelming consensus from that period over who was better (in this period, of course, and until Ayrton’s death, Michael didn’t post a single pole position, won rather less than Ayrton and was one of those also-rans trounced in the wet races at Donington and Interlagos in ’93, but we don’t hold this against him, do we, because he was on the ascent and not yet at his peak – surely it is enough simply that Senna rated him as his strongest competitor, once Prost had retired, and clearly showed his worth)?

All in all, I think it’s a bit sad and that the thing could have been better managed. But, importantly for me, I certainly don’t feel I’ve missed the opportunity to see the great showdown between the Lewis generation and the great Schumacher of old – I just don’t think it would, or could, have worked out that way. I think Michael would have given a respectable account of himself – after all it was a better car in Hungary than it’s been all year, wasn’t that far off, and raw talent doesn’t go anywhere - but I think that there were too many elements missing for the stratospheric expectations of everyone from Lauda and Ecclestone to the man on the street to have been realized.

Let's hope Renault doesn't get the green light to race in Valencia, and prompt the frustrated Alonso to drive for Ferrari for one race XD

Nando in Ferrari. Sponsorship wise they can't really swap drivers mid season, unless the driver quit the team.

F1: Ferrari Push To Field Third Car In 2010

FERRARI PRESIDENT Luca di Montezemolo will push for his team to run three cars next season in a bid to entice Michael Schumacher back to Formula 1.

Schumacher’s brief flirtation with a return to the sport ended after it was revealed his neck was unable to withstand the rigours of Formula 1.

However, Di Montezemolo believes the departure of BMW Sauber at the end of the year will create an opportunity for two of the sport’s established giants to field an extra car on the grid, and provide the seven-time World Champion with a chance to launch his comeback.

And he believes Schumacher would have no trouble adapting to the changes which have affected Formula 1 since his retirement in 2006.

Pure load of bollocks. What I read in the Italian media was Di Montezemolo saying that if no one goes up to buy Sauber and fill the slot, they might try to run a 3rd car. then he was ASKED that could Schumacher drive the 2010 car (with the rule being changed again and all) and he said yes, a person with Schumacher's caliber might.

This report fails to
- Remember that the FIA has OPENED the bidding for other team to fill that last slot vacated by BMW
- 5 teams are already bidding that slot, thus why in the world do they need to field an extra car?

Really, the reporters are retarded
