Rainmeter is a customizable resource meter that can display various performance data in different formats. Rainmeter can measure CPU load, Allocated Memory, Network Traffic, Performance data, Uptime, Free disk space and plenty of other stuff.

The data can be displayed e.g. in a histogram, a bar, bitmap frames or just plain numbers. Rainmeter also includes a plugin interface which means that the feature set can be extented with 3rd party plugins.

Changes:

  • PluginWifiStatus is now part of the installation.
  • Enigma is now the default skin for new installations.
  • Added #WORKAREAX# and #WORKAREAY# build-in variables and fixed the #WORKAREAWIDTH# and #WORKAREAHEIGHT# to give correct results.
  • The Themes folder is now copied to the %APPDATA% on first run.
  • iTunes is not opened automatically anymore when Rainmeter starts because it caused flickering in Rainmeter's windows.
  • Installer asks now if the app should be installed for all users.
  • Arcs skin is included in the installation.

Rainmeter v1.0 Final

A clean installation is recommended:
Backup your skins.
Uninstall the old version.
Remove the Rainmeter folder from Program Files if the uninstaller didn't do that.
Remove the Rainmeter folder also from your My Documents and %APPDATA% folder if it exists.
Install the version 1.0.

If you are upgrading from older version (e.g. 0.14) note that the 1.0 will read the skins from your My Documents folder and the settings are now stored to the %APPDATA% (C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\Rainmeter or C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter) folder so you shouldn't make any changes to the files in the program folder.

The new file locations are used only if the Rainmeter.ini is not found from the program folder. If you still have the Rainmeter.ini in the program folder Rainmeter will work in the portable mode and will store everything to same folder where the Rainmeter.exe is located (i.e. the same way as the previous versions worked).
