i wonder if our 2009 license will be tranferable to 2010 once it is out, like what kaspersky is currently doing.

Should be, my previous 2008 license was transferable to 2009 version.

I'm waiting for the new version to officially released.
I hate instaling and re-instaled Antivirus.

Buy online no prob.

Just downloaded it, use my existing key from NIS 2009 and it works.

A word of caution, the upgrade module from NIS 2009 to NIS 2010 has a bug which doesnt recognize your previous NIS 2009 activation when u go for the upgrade route.

The best method is to do a removal of your current av and do fresh install and input your key into the 2010 version and your good to go.

So far i notice that its abit faster then 2009 on default setting. Theres a performance option which i have not tried.

Yup, but you can easily upgrade to nis2010. Just log on into your symantec account, the there's an "update" panel on the middle-right hand side. Click on the link and follow the steps. You'll be able to download the nis2010 with your serial embedded inside the installer! The installer actually, needs you to download using symantec/norton downloader...

arghhh... Norton is driving me crazy...
I've already added both the folder name (windows/system32), and the specific file in the folder, to the exclusions list.
Yet it still quarantines the file. WTH?!?!?!?!?

How do i get it to not touch that particular file? Manual scan, folder scan, full system scan, idle quick scan, wtf scan....

Was using AVG previously, so Norton is new to me (just installed yesterday).
AVG, just add to ignore list, and gao tim.
