Today I checked the coverage area and found out that my area is covered. However, it seems that the packages and plans have changed. Now they have Wiggy and download speed up to 10Mbps.
Since I am curious about the speed, does anyone here have experience with this new package and what's the upload speed? hmm.gif

Events:
15-7-2009: 12-1pm -> Registered for P1 Wimax (Wiggy 149) at Digital Store P1 booth. Promised to activate, but until now 10pm haven't receive any notification about activation.

well, I can share with you my P1 experience as I sign up their plan since sept08. I would suggest you to test kao kao the connection within the return back gurantee before you commit a 1 yr contract with them. The reason i ask you to do this is , some user may not get good connection even there are in coverage area.

Thanks for the advice. smile.gif
If I sign up today, how long do I have to wait before I can go online?
Oh is there any promotion going about P1 Wimax? blush.gif

P1 WiMAX have the new RM69 package with 800kbps speed.

worth the try!

Added on July 15, 2009, 10:02 amMonthly subscription starts from RM69 per month. Monthly data quota is 5GB per month.

The modem is free with 2 years subscription and it is chargable at RM299 for those who take up 1 year subscription.

The Wiggy 69 has a registration fee of RM100, chargable up front and activation fee of RM60 which will be charged on the first bill.

the modem is too expensive! this is the main reason why i dont want to subscribe.

yes, especially the dl speed... even though the max is 10Mbps but it does mention in the webpage that average is about 1 - 3Mbps only or higher (but how higher is that???)... an interesting point...

Hi, when 1st i register this p1, i just wait around 3-4 hours. i dont get any notification/sms from p1..the dealer said, they will sms after activated.

from what i can say, after your registration around 2 hour, just try ON your your modem.i think within 2 hour, the account already activated.

thanks

very good decision, personal testing should be the main deciding factor, don't trust any comments because every area is different~

that means P1 is really suitable for you. Do consider the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) though, 5GB max monthly before throttling kicks in~

feel free to PM me for inquiries~

I changed to Desktop modem while I still can as it is within their 7 days cooling period. However, have to use my brother's name to register as they barred any registration from anyone who retreats within 7 days for a month. Please beware of this issue. Desktop packages are more stable. smile.gif
