It's a monopoly technique, TM wanna pull customers from JR to TM.
So that JR will go bankrupt. Their next victim is P1 I think. Because by 2010, P1 is covering KL, JB, SBH, SWRK, which is some competition to TM.

So you know TM's evil monopoly la... They sure wil. do something about that.

Or maybe they know that the NGN =/= JR's technology so they just use it to make JR's user suffer.

If this is true then what's the use of using Jaring except for its pricing advantage and less congestion(when there's still low take up in a particular area)?

You would probably want a network which depends entirely on its own network and infrastructure.

Well, with these kind of issues, I don't wanna use JR.
This is what JR users are thinking now, then they switch to TM.

Viola! Plan succeed by TM. Cruel...
Anyhow I fell sad for JR although I'm not using it. The CEO is jumping in pain now. Thinking what to do next...
I think the govt really have to do something now. Or not all the DSLAM is owned by TM and when the govt ope license for foreign ISP,
it'll take many years to make JR available nationwide...

Care to share some of your Jaring connection's info such as where you're from, type and package?

Noooo..
Wait let me rephrase my earlier statement:
You would probably want an alternative servcice provider which depends entirely on its own network and infrastructure.

ok i just found out that if your connection is going through 61.6.3.45, you'll have this timeout problem occasionally. my area can still tracert, i did some testing when the timeout happened, and it seems like this is the server that is dropping 99% of the packets. if you looks at IRREVATION's pingplotter post on page1, you'll see that the problem starts there.

QUOTE(iipohbee @ Jul 13 2009, 04:47 PM)
I can understand your path rerouting concept.
The P2P issue I was talking about refers to deep packet inspection(DPI) scheme which is one of the main primary features which NGN networks boast about.
Modern NGNs have the ability to inspect every packet and its content type. By doing so they can choose to allow the packet to be dropped, filtered and given less priority of handling.

The ISP can even put conditions to put less priority or totally block the relevant packets from arriving to destinations/sender should they have reasons.

I put those issues in bold to highlight the problems I'm currently facing.
*

Bro,

NGN is next generation network which consist of 3 major hardware:

1) Softswitch
2) Session Border Controller
3) Media Gateway Controller

Most of the packet switching configuration will implement QOS.
The most and high priority packets (6) usually are video and voice.

iipohbee, please refer to my topic:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1097409

The packet drops are happening "somewhere" in between you and your isp's gateway.

TM's NGN cloud is scrutinizing, munching your data and corrupting them.
