New version that can play bd iso and bitstream hd audio out. That would be really great. Double the price also no prob. Still bloody cheap.

the reference solution for this kind of capability is now around rm400-500 retail range (comparison to egreat and xtreamer).. if double price of current WD then it's overpriced liao.. biggrin.gif

I got a question on Audio.

When playing some movies with AAC5.1 audio (the AVR lights up AAC as the incoming signal), there is no sound at all from the AVR. I will need to switch the System Audio setting to Stereo (instead of Digital) before getting stereo sound via the HDMI cable to TV. Anyone have this problem? I have some files from SecretMyth that have this problem.

Also, there are some .ts files that outputs stereo sound to the AVR (Pro Logic II lights up). These files play ok on a Dvico 6500 with 5.1 sound. Anyone have these problems? The TS files are Harry Potter 1 & 2, and Spiderman 2.

Help..... thanks.

i hav same problem with u... to hear ACC 5.1 need to set to Stereo for WDTV... as i know SecretMyth was using ACC LC audio format file. did u try SecretMyth on PS3?

u can see note in website or box it stated *- - An audio receiver is required for surround sound output. AAC/Dolby Digital decodes in 2 channel output only . but i'm confusing coz i can play well for dolby digital and not for ACC.
why they put note like that.. ehehehe

I tried the same SecretMyth files on the PS3. The info on PS3 is AAC5.1, but the sound outputs Stereo as well. I am wondering if this is SecretMyth's files characteristics.

On the website/box, it means that the AVR will decode the sound to 5.1 surround, but its strange that it doesnt (while using SecretMyth's files). Same applies to .ts files (Harry Potter 1 & 2, and SpiderMan 2) that i have collected. Some MKV files are not outputting 5.1 sound either, but it works fine with Dvico. I am wondering if the audio is in HD format where by its output to 2 channel by default??

Anyone have any idea how to read audio info from MKV or .ts files??

Lucky you... the shop I bought last time no more stock.

Did you cut the small thingy that make the fan not fit nicely...(near to the air outake hole). That thing make a gap between fan and wdtv. Better check got or not.

Ahh... need to wait until I back to home today to post the picture... tongue.gif
Bought at Selayang Morning market (next to Selayang Police Station) for RM3.00. This one is better cos top and bottom also got 2 pin connector but the material quality not so good. At least can use 3 device in one. I will keep for traveling purpose. thumbup.gif

The small thingy hmm.gif ... look at picture below.... bottom right image with male usb, you can see a small thingy... need to cut that to make a perfect fit.
