What is it with you and supplements? doh.gif

Supplements are merely for the sake of convenience and they're obviously an easier source of nutrients. You're not going to shrink or something without them. And you need to have good genetics, if not genetically gifted, to get as big, as you would say, Dexter Jeckson.

Some people said that, taking whey protein will make your muscles grow bigger, while some said that, will make your muscles become more firm.

I take whey protein because I want to retain the muscle mass. Before I started taking whey protein, I've gained a lot of muscles. My legs, shoulder and forearm especially. I eat a lot of protein and rest well, plus train hard.

A lot of people in the gym rely on whey protein too much, even by doing chest and bicep daily for sometime, they are still not growing. Plus they have "perut buncit", so I believe their diet suck. Not enough protein, eating crap food like Nasi lemak, fried rice or other oily fried stuff.

I believe in hard work, not relying on whey protein. I know a guy in the gym trains so hard (3 times harder than me, he always spend 3 hours working out different bodyparts, though is not the right way, but his body is freaking awesome.) Never once I see him taking whey protein in the gym, work out the same time as him. This guy is the one that inspires me to train harder, his BF is around 15%. Another guy is the arabian guy (malaysian muslim, speaks fluent english), who always willing to teach, spot and train with me, even when I'm a newbie? Arabian guy BF is definitely below 15% and he is still doing cardio today. I have so much respect for him, and I want to be like him someday. The first time I met him, he ask me to spot him and afterthat he taught me so many things. Not because I'm a good talker or polisher, like polish his shoe to make him teach me. Is because I'm humble and willing to learn, told him about my progress before and after. He knows some of the big guys here, his old friends, but he still willing to mix with me and teach.

A lot of people in the gym that doesn't know me well, have a lot of respect for me, so do I for them. They saw the before and after of me until today. Sometimes there are strangers seeing me struggling doing 50lbs dumb bell chest press, they just come over to spot me, and I thank them so much for being kind.

Of course in the gym, you won't find all friendly people. Like the other day, I saw a fat guy who is taller than me (above 100kg). He was doing squat at 60kg (with barbell). I was standing beside chilling, then I looked at him, seeing him struggling, nearly drop the bar bell. So I just being nice, using both of my palms to hold the side of the bar bell just incase, not really hold, just touching the bar, following where it goes). He said it's fine, I can handle it, but he was struggling?. I have no intention of being clever or showing off. I just want to help, but they think the other way round. I still remember when I just started doing squat at 40kg, I nearly out of breath. I just want to help and teach what I've learnt to others. I want the cycle to repeat again and again.

At the end of the day, whether you want to go for strength or have a good looking body is your choice. Most people train so hard obviously they want to look good. So if you have perut buncit, just try to get rid of it. If you know you are overweight and having a perut buncit but ignoring it, this won't be good. I've seen a lot of thin guys bench press at 80kg - 90kg, I seriously respect them a lot. They are my inspirations too in the gym.

Ops, I better stop here. Just trying to share my gym life with you guise. ;S

Train hard guise.

I still got a lot more to learn. I definitely won't be doing this profesionally but I'm trying very hard to have a nice lean body with huge muscles.

I'm very happy for what I've achieved today and I will continue doing this without quitting. Eversince I started working out, things have changed a lot, like how I look at things differently not just one direction. And sometimes when I look myself in the mirror, my tears almost burst out. Heh, don't want to be emo. user posted image

My body already get used to it, and I want to continue doing it till I can push even further.

So you are a personal trainer? Which gym do you attached to?
