Hi guys , i'm here to share some info about a telco that provide Internet Call. Internet call is a built-in function in most of E-Series & N-Series Nokia phones.

FYI, Internet Call are known as Sip2Sip call (or we called it SIP Call).
I know there are some Internet Call provider are charging their user for XX cent/min, and the trend is still new in Asia, hence the Internet Call trend are not popular in Malaysia.
Until last two months ago, one of my friend introduce me a Malaysia SIP telco which provide free SIP Call that is included in one of the package from the telco.

I'm still their loyal user as my house and company has equipped with Wi-Fi / WirelessLAN router, only one time setting on my E and N series Nokia phone, i can just hook up to the internet-connected wireless router and start making free call to user that is under same network. It's completely free, but its free when the opponent is under same network only. sad.gif

Until now, i'm still happy with their service as i go work oversea quite sometime in few month, i can still call back to my family for FREE if their E-Series/N-Series/Laptop/PC is connected to the SIP network.. Or if their devices are not connected to the SIP network, i can still call back to my family with local rate and no roaming charge while i'm still in overseas using Internet Call but must purchased the Credit first.

Don't have Wi-Fi /WirelessLAN phone or coverage?? We can login to their mobile-webpage which cost less than 1kb (RM0.10) and key in the number u want to call/sms and start making call or sending sms ! We can access to their mobile-webpage via our PC/Laptop internet browser too, if we're afraid of expensive data plan charges (especially in overseas), they will call back to our existing handphone and connect you to the person u wanted to call. (Something like callback system, requires simcard, so u wont have to pay anything extra)

This service is really convenient for me as i travel alot, i had been save up those expensive roaming charges, expensive calling rates since i use this service..

Oh yah, this telco got provide mobile-web-based sms to worldwide too @ local rate... but too bad it only available in english only.. not support chinese/japanese font.. sad.gif (hope they will upgrade their sms in future)

Besides, using this telco can earn money also... It got web-based transfer credit function, which allow u to sell or transfer credit to your friend or your family.. Every user can become a Reseller as they got this function tongue.gif
But u have to buy in-bulk to get earn money.
(promote: i am their user and also a reseller since i buy alot of credit tongue.gif so someone come and buy topup or activation credit from me...)

I am sharing this info to everyone else who travel oversea alot and those people who still paying expensive roaming charges !!
Why pay expensive roaming charges when u can call/sms anywhere in the world with their country local charges??

Guys, Paying expensive roaming charges is so 2000 year !!

With this service i really save alot money when calling back home from oversea.. No more goddamn expensive roaming charges icon_idea.gif

The SIP call service can install on PC too.. But of cause with the Softphone software like X-Lite, etc (i personally use X-Lite, because it's very simple to use with one time setup)

Btw, this services has to pay USD15.00 (RM53+-) for it's package activation fee. Because the SIP function is a free function included with the package. After activation, you will have USD5 credit to make calls and send sms to others in local rate or call/sms to those who still not yet signed up to this telco. The USD5 is already include in the activation fee. This provider really got alot function, this is my first time seeing this kind of provider thumbup.gif thumbup.gif (Can buy from me or u can pay yourself by using paypal which is provides by them)

Promotes to your friends and stop letting them paying expensive roaming charges while calling from oversea !
And i think this provider is still new in Malaysia, not much people knows about it, huh?

Oppss.. the telco is AVIOcall.. My friend said it's from Malaysia..
U guys can check it out on http://www.aviocall.com

Sharing is caring ma.. smile.gif No harm trying icon_rolleyes.gif

mod, sorry for promoting my garages sales here.. ehehe icon_rolleyes.gif

Truphone sigh, the call so expensive compare to skype. AVIOcall I just signed an account recently, and use it on my nokia e-series. E71 hehe. calls are clear and cheap. In the website I saw something free calls. I'm still waiting for my friends to join and sign up and wanted to test free calls over internet, wonder skype is better or this one. From the website also I read about one will get referral fee of USD 3 when one get my friends to sign up and my ID name under thier referral collume. Really not bad.

Here is the link for understanding how to make free calls over mobile

Bro, it is spelled as AVIOcall , not oviocall icon_idea.gif

AFAIK, Skype has unlimited package, but please be noted at their Fair Usage Policy..
You only can have 10,000 minutes aka 166hrs.
And with skype , u can only make maximum 6 hrs calls PER DAY, goes beyond the limit and Skype will start charging you extra.
Also, u cannot call more than 50 different number in one days, or else it will be charged also..

And Skype Unlimited Country package charges RM22 per months, with 10,000 minutes per month.
Skype Unlimited World package charges RM50 per months with fair policy usage, same as above.

Besides, Skype's unlimited package are mostly offered to landline only, they don't provide much unlimited call for mobile phone calls. Not to forget to tell that Skype offer limited country only, while AVIOcall offer call to A ~ Z country (which i read from their website)

You can read it at here.

Call from Skype to Skype are known as SIP Call (Only can make free call if call to same network. eg: Skype to Skype only)..
AVIOcall also got provide SIP call option, and it's free of charge if u make call under same network (eg: Aviocall to Aviocall)
One more good thing about Aviocall SIP call is, if u're using E or N Series Nokia phone or any phone that support Internet Call (SIP) function, u can make oversea or local call to anyone in country local charges.. Besides, u can make call to others who don't have Aviocall account but it will charges with local rate/min..
(you can check their call rate from their website)

Activate a AVIOcall account only cost you RM52 (USD15) per year.. After activation, u can get USD5 (RM17.80) as credit. If someone put u as referral while they signing-up for AVIOcall account, once that person successfully activated their account, u will get USD3 (RM10.60) as reward from Aviocall.. (So, more people signed up and put u as referral, u get more rewards, as 1 user = RM10.60 , 10 user = RM106.00 ) You will only be rewarded once that person successfully activated their Aviocall account..
(The SIP call is already included in this package for free)

I think you should try to sign up a account and test... They provide alot of calling function like SIP call, Mobile-Web Call/SMS, PC Web-Call/SMS and so on..

Even if we don't have Wi-Fi coverage or Wi-Fi phone, we still can access their mobile web m.aviocall.com which cost less RM0.01 since the mobile web takes less than 1kb.
From their mobile web, we can send sms or making call to anyone else in the world with country local charge.

Answering your last question : Yes, both AVIOcall user need to be online only can make free call.
Example like : You can't download a torrent without a seeder seeding the torrent, since there's no seeder mean there's no speed. Same as AVIOcall.

The AVIOcall SIP call function are only available if u activate your aviocall account @ RM55 for a year..
Yup, u can use AVIOcall SIP call for one year free, as your Account is activated..

There's no Fair Usage Policy for AVIOcall..

Those I call are all on Skype and none on AVIOcall. And since I am seldom out of the country to find the need to make free or cheap wifi calls from hotel hotspot, I find RM55 per year too expensive. So I want to stick with Skype.

I want to buy the Nokia E52 but then I found Skype do not work on Nokia E52. Not unless I use something called Fring and I don't want to use Fring (because I think anything having to go through another layer of software bound to degrade call quality.)

So should I go for Window mobile based phone and not buy the Nokia E series phone?

i would prefer E series phone.. since i am using e51, e71 and a windows mobile based HTC... both has the advantage... but if u're going to make wifi call, i would suggest nokia e series.. since not many or almost no windows mobile based phone provide sip call function (unless u install a 3rd party software).. but based on my personal experience, Nokia E/N series provide the superb quality on sip call.. especially E71.. i had try using fring on my windows mobile, guess what?? what i encounter is drop calls , drop calls, and drop calls.

Skype has alot of user because it's on the market for alot years already while AVIOcall is new compare to skype, perhaps u can invite more of your friend and try to use Aviocall??

With Aviocall, u can make free sipcall to those are "ON-Network" SIP2SIP

but if your calling opponent didn't subscribe to Aviocall, u can still make call via wifi to his local/phone number at their local country charges..

(example** you are calling from China to Malaysia, what u're paying is Malaysia local call charges RM0.15/min)

I would suggest you to go for Nokia E series if u make wifi / sip call frequently.. Or opt for the Windows mobile phone if u like to do modding / fancy phone. smile.gif

This is exactly the type of calls I wanted to make when I go to China and Singapore. On average, I make about 20 such calls a year while overseas and if I have to pay RM55 to AVOIcall for such benefit, it works out to be RM2.75 per call. Not exactly cheap, hence my interest in staying with Skype. But unfortunately, Skype do not support Nokia E series. So what do you suggest?

In fact, this is the ONLY stumbling block for me to buy the E52.

The RM0.15/min is for example only, u can always check out their website for calling rates.

FYI, the RM52 (USD 15) activation fee does include RM17.5 (USD$5) call credit.. So you can do the math, it's exactly cost only RM34+- (USD$9) as activation fee only.. And the credit will be valid forever, means it will not expired.

Plus u can get USD$3 per person if your friends or family put u as their referral.

Is this RM52 activation fee annually or once and for all?

You have to pay for the activation fee anually..

You only have to pay RM2.80+- per month x 12 = RM33+-
With RM2.80 (USD$0.80) , u can have free sip/internet call for one whole years.

The company is still new in the market if compared to Skype, i guess they have to cover up their administration cost..

But for me, RM2.80 per month is very cheap for me if compared to paying expensive roaming charges..

AVIOcall provides SIPtoLandline/Mobile , while Skype don't.

I have tried Fring over WLAN on my nokia E65 and the call quality was excellent. However, I wasn't using skype at that time. I have an account with one of those VOIP providers.

You can call landline and mobile with Skype. It's called Skype Out. Of course it's not free. Plus you can even get Skype In, which Skype provides you with an internet telephone number where people can call you on skype with their mobile or landline. Of course, I'm not sure if the price is competitive with other VOIP providers.

Really?? Wow, never thought of Skype had the function too.. I'll do more research on it. biggrin.gif

Added: Read it on their website, seems like the SkypeIN service is not available in Malaysia yet..
