Hi there,

I have a website, where the domain registrar and the host is a different company.

Whose responsibility is it to add TXT record, CNAME, etc?

Is it the domain registrar or the owner of the nameserver (hosting company)?

Thanks smile.gif

Btw, it's possible to add CNAME, TXT record for MYNIC domains right?

That is depending on where you host the DNS at. If you are using the hosting company DNS, then you can ask them to modify it.

MYNIC domains does not have DNS hosting, u need to point it to a specific server and do the DNS setting from your DNS server.

eg. domain.com.my -> DNS server -> Edit CNAME/A/TXT

Contact your web host for help.

Or you can use free DNS services such as eg. zoneedit.com, dyndns.org.

normally cpanel hosting does not allow to change/edit the dns setting, it only available at the web hosting manager (WHM)

while direct admin hosting are different, you able to change all the setting at the hosting control panel without asking your hosting provider's help.
