APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEERS
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing third level support to Supply Chain applications to meet the client’s global customers' Service Level Agreements and operational requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and be able to independently work with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.

Major responsibilities include:

* Interact with various internal IT support functions (Development, Operations, QA) in a global environment to analyze root cause and provide a permanent fix or workaround.
* Maintain and deploy application patches, following standards and best practices.
* Actively identify incidents and manage the incident resolution process to provide service recovery.
* Develop program utilities to automate processes.
* Manage the handover between project and support teams, and learn about new project delivery as is necessary.

Requirements:

* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* Minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience in Java and shell scripting. ( must have)
* Understanding of development methodologies, version control and configuration management.
* Experience with database technologies including SQL and JDBC. (must)
* Experience with Linux/Unix systems. (must have)
* Understanding of HTML, XML and server-side technologies.
* Experience with JBoss/Tomcat or other web servers preferred.
* Experience at a global software or consulting firm is an asset.
* Experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing environment preferred. (optional)
* Experience with Oracle Applications ERP systems a strong plus. (advantageous)
* Logical approach and excellent problem solving skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and provide feedback and solutions.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must be able to work well both in a team environment and independently under minimal supervision.
* Must be willing to be on call as and when required.
* Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, on own initiative.

DATABASE ADMINISTRATORS ( salary max 7 – 7.5 K based on exp)
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

* Database Administration - Responsible for the day-to-day administration of our database servers. This includes trouble-shooting, shell scripting, DB & system performance monitoring, sizing, integration, upgrades, migration implementation, and application performance diagnostics.
* Support Applications Development & QA – Responsible for development & staging database server. This includes refresh DEV-STG-PROD database schemas, assist development and QA team to troubleshoot & tune SQL & Store Procedure codes
* Design & Architecture – Suggest and improve systems design and architecture to improve uptime, ease of administration and reduce cost.
* Business Continuity – Responsible for all database servers’ uptime and ensured recovery plan work accordingly to SLA.
* Documentation – Documentation for all the above

Requirements:

* Minimum of 5+ years DB2 DBA experience in a Linux OS environment. ( must)
* Minimum of 2+ years of Oracle DBA experience in a Linux OS environment is big plus or willingness to learn these technologies would work. ( has experience)
* Able to install, upgrade, configure and tune DB2 database server software.
* Experience providing production system DBA support in an 7/24 on call fashion
* Proficient Linux/UNIX command language and scripting skills ( must)
* Proven ability to provide Development DBA support for developer queries and requests. This includes query tuning, server tuning, identifying problematic code, etc.
* Ability to perform SQL coding and assist developers with SQL questions, including the areas of functionality and performance
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly; document issues from production problems, propose solutions and implement them.
* Continually contribute to group processes, techniques, knowledge, etc. to improve the environment stability and group productivity
* Act as the primary liaison with vendor to seek out answers for bugs, issues, and challenges
* Knowledge of Supply Chain system is a plus
* Experience in a NAS/SAN environment preferred.

SUPPORT TEAM - JD

LEVEL 1 SUPPORT

Responsibilities:


• Perform periodic system health check and maintenance for AIX servers, storage and network security devices such as firewall, router, intrusion detection system, antivirus system, web filtering systems and etc.
• Ensure secure operations of in-house computer systems, servers and network connections. Includes system logs review and analysis, scrutinizing network traffic and troubleshooting
• Manage and support networking and security services in LAN, WAN and Internet network infrastructure
• Handle implementation of system/solutions and installation of hardware, software and networking components
• Responsible for documenting service log, keep track of version upgrade and software licensing
• Conduct end-user trainings.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Certificate / Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in system administrator/network support fields.
• Good understanding in LAN, WAN, IP addressing as well as VLAN configurations and IT Security.
• Possess good working knowledge in Window 2003 Server and MS Office Suite.
• Applicants with MS SQL, HIMS software knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Willing and able to travel and to work on shifts.
• Must be on standby 24-hours/7-days-a-week,
• Positive, team player, detailed and good in problem solving.
• Ability to priorities and posses sense of urgency.
• Meticulous, initiative, dedicated and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
 
LEVEL 2 SUPPORT

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for requirement study, designing, deploying, implementing, support and managing any ICT related projects, adhering to project management processes and procedures
• To execute IT Infrastructure (software and hardware) standardization & common systems adoption.
• To provide 24x7 IT Infrastructure assistance and mitigate interruption.
• To admin SQL database (backup), perform server failover and disaster recovery testing per the plan.
• To provide 2nd Level support on deployed HIMS application including working closely with product development team to resolve problems
• To support & maintain company’s internal IT infrastructure including end-users
• To provide service delivery activities in accordance to established Service Level Agreement (SLA) to maintain high-level of customer service
• Ensure high-level of customer satisfaction through high quality deliverables, excellent customer support and proactive engagement

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in system administrator/network support fields.

For 1st level, the locations are Taiping, Seremban, Puchong, Miri, Bintulu, Nusajaya ( Johor) (no travel needed)

For 2nd level, the location is subang office and occasional travel to client site is needed.
