Im facing a same prob here..
I watched a HD movie using both VLC n MPC,but the movie still gt stuck..
Not very smooth..
Any other players...?

Media player Classic (Regular or Home Cinema) bundled with K-Lite Codec...

even you can play your Blu ray movies, or any HD movies...but please check your resolution first...~

If you have ATI card running VISTA, just use MPC-HC and install FFDSHOW. Use FFDSHOW audio for AC3, DTS, LPCM and TrueHD. Enable VC-1 DXVA and H264 DXVA for video card DXVA2 acceleration. You are mostly covered unless you need rmvb then install real alternative.

you can't say a codec pack is a player.

the player used in k-lite is MPC-HC

I thought it's was understood that by installing it you can play .mkv files...

actually you just need MPC-HC (the internal filter can handle the decoding)
