Thanks piumiu. I will check the spec.
I want to try something different. The Sidewinder X6 has a yellow backlight. While Razer Krait also have yellow light. This lights really really give me special mood, or better say good mood..and will improve working mood  laugh.gif  thumbup.gif
150GB VelociRaptor not enough? Add another one 150GB?  unsure.gif
Well, from what I know, Xeon is for workstation, so I thought it much better in 3D application. I havent done any research about Xeon...need some time to do it. If Xeon has +- performance than the i7, then better I stick with i7..cheaper.

Regarding the PSU, I will check the spec later. Thank you for your suggestion.
I already check the website(Lian Li), I like their full tower chasis, TYR PC-X2000, but Im not sure this case available in Lowyat or not...& must be killer price.

Regarding the Windows 7, how about the compatibility with 3DS Max 9 & V-Ray engine? And about HDD, how much it cost for X-25 SSD?
I believe this card still can play game. Its just maybe not smooth or not so perform like the gaming card. I mainly use for working. I am retire from gaming.
Im quite confuse, I stated 3GB x 3, means total is 9GB (each slot has 3GB). Or am I mistaken the pricelist?  sweat.gif
In the pricelist (C-Zone), for the tripple channel memory, it stated 3GB and 6GB. Is this mean 3GB consist of 1GB x 3, or 3GB per piece?  unsure.gif

Ah thanks for your explanation!  laugh.gif
LOL

erm..it is 1GBX3 not 3GBX3..

I think TS should dump the Velociraptor HDD and move on to SSD.... It's 2 times more powerful than the 300GB Velociraptors combined together in RAID.... I suggest Kingston X-25M.... I believed this will help TS in cutting down loading times for his work....

ts. your setup is good enough.
i only recomend to change to gigabyte odin 800w rm500.
reason why is its cheap at 800 whereby most 750w is around 500.
and its modular. and 80 plus psu. its also ensure if you need extra hardisk for your work
and sli ready in the future.

Ok I will consider it. Thank you piumiu.

Thanks for the correction! I revised my memory usage, 6GB kit x 2. Total up will be 12GB.

I contacted and asked C-Zone's staff, he mention the price of Intel X-25M 47GB is +-RM1300 sweat.gif I know its powerful, but then the capacity is small. I think I just add another 150GB VelociRaptor. For the loading time preview (3D), this setting can be set. icon_rolleyes.gif

Does the motherboard even have enough slots ? a tri channel 6GB kit would be 2GB x 3 pieces, so you'd need 3 RAM slots.
So in order to have 12Gb in tri channel, you'd need 6 RAM slots.

You can leave it as it is.

Quadro FX4600 is powerful enough that you can throw whatever thing you want to let it eat for you. let alone to say my FX5600 lol.

but about RAM, timing are important. certain applications are quite fussy with RAM's timing.

your PSU must be reliable, though I am just using the shabby Cooler Master extreme 650watt to power up 2 X FX5600, 1 X FX4600. your wattage for PSU can be lower, IF you are not upgrading your graphic card in the future like adding one more for SLI.

if you got the money, X-25m SSD is a not-bad-idea.

Thanks for your feedback.

Processor
what do you have in mind? Total now is RM7033.

Power Supply Unit
I already revised on PSU, currently 600W.

Operating System
If I change to Vista Ultimate 64 bits, total would be RM7182. Ok, change to Vista then. & I need Vray 1.5RC3.

Chasis
Raven by SilverStone is nice (RM699). If CZone got black colour even more nice! thumbup.gif

Graphic Card
Ouhh, thats good to hear. Previously I use NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT AGP 8X. Imagine, render time like turtle, plus with single core processor (Prescott, Socket 478) sweat.gif . You own FX5600? That is ULTIMATE! Market price is approximately RM15000! sweat.gif

RAM
My chosen RAM timing is 9-9-9-24. Is that ok? unsure.gif

Power Supply Unit
I already lower the watt. Currently 600W. I think this is ok. Thank you.

Hard Disk Drive
Let me use VelociRaptor at this moment. Solid State Drive (SSD) very expensive & the capacity is smalll. I will change to SSD once the price is affordable (future). Thanks for your suggestion.

Yes, Quadro have to be bought from overseas. Cannot tumpang with M'sia market.

I got my FX5600 for only RM12000 from HP OEM. Easy and fast.

But if something happened to it, that's it LOL.

Ram Timing I do not know, I actually uses ValueRAM to run.

600watt is reasonable and enough

And the graphic card ah, not yet ultimate XD

FX5800 is the one which is ultimate, USD$3500.

GeForce 7600GT used to render is Lulz.

One rendering will probably takes 5 hours for some works lol.

and hmm I actually got 2 FX5600 to SLi, 1 FX4600 to do dedicated Physx like yours probably.

See the 650watt cheapo PSU there? Non-true power, just because 12+v rail meet 18A, that's why it is enough and probably, yeah the graphic cards that is there used up all the power it can provide.

Huh?

Did I offend anyone? ohmy.gif

Sorry if I do, cause HP is also situated in the US. and yeah, Shipping fee for retail to come here and back for warranty, still cost less then the price in M'sia by a lot Lulz.

And further more, Quadro is sooooo much reliable than GeForce. Never heard of one failed before.

No. U didnt offend anyone or me. I respect ppl who r selling their goods at certain price and understand why they did that.. not many ppl are selling quadro card.. it takes time just to wait ppl to buy one of those cards... thats why its overpriced.. its the way ppl doing business in Malaysia AFAIK smile.gif.. and the way i said about quadro card earlier is just my personal opinion... although its overpriced ppl will still buy the card but not me... thats all.

kb and mouse is important at least thats what i think la

precision and functionality
(pricey keyboards usually come with alot of functions as well as macro binding, instant shortcuts and what nots)
(pricey mouse have dpi control and higher precision as well as a quicker respond time which would help a lot in his field)

just my 2 cents la
i'm not in the field he is in but i do have a reclusa keyboard
a diamond back 3g 1800dpi
a ga400 2000 dpi
and i prefer it over any other normal mouse out there

Actually, I've already did my homework on this issue.... I've calculated that the amount u pay for the 2 Velociraptors can buy u 1 X-25M SSD and u hav some spare change for other things and also the performance is no where near SSDs.... If u r worried about space, then u should buy 2 1TB drives to store all ur stuff..... The SSD is just for ur programs and ur OS, which requires fast loading and fast retrieval.... Also, about the X-25M 47GB, I hav no comments on that but I'm recommending the Kingston SSDNow which has 80GB of storage space and it costs roughly about RM1.3k.... If u think that is expensive, u can refer to my siggy for alternative choices..... I'm offering AData SSDs....

Sorry for the very very late reply since I couldn't find the thread anywhere.... laugh.gif
