so, portable drives:

a) doesn't need to have secure connection with no loose ports? isn't portable drives using USB, same as PQI's U360?  rclxub.gif
b) doesn't need the laptop to have enough battery before the transfer is complete?  rclxub.gif

Actually what I meant was, USB does already have secure connections with encryptions and syncing softwares and they only need to connect to the USB. While the PQI U360 have the dongle, and the extendable connector. I've used many of those USB extendable connectors before... They are usually very loosy.

the sliding usb connector is the 'in' feature on most usb drives now ... look at kingston, sandisk, apacer ....

the loosy part is a little trade-off; else how are u going to slide in-out if the connector is stiff?

the usual drives with fixed usb connector is soldered onto the PCB directly. i've seen many ppl break it still due to accidents biggrin.gif
