uve got antena symbol now..

i suggest u to uncheck at file > work offline.. see if the page can load now
sometimes "work offilne" can be tick automatically at jaunty. (bug maybe)

pidgin?
account? ym? if u r using ym
open manage account, modify ur ym account,
in advance tab, change pager server to
66.163.181.169

another choice, u can upgrade ur pidgin to the latest one.
if ur malay (i think so) go to this blog
http://tinyurl.com/lkwxsy

quit ur pidgin, re open it to see if the progress is complete

Last month end June I just got my Digi Broadband EXPLORE Plan. It’s 700 kbps/s speed. At first I have no any confident at all with their Broadband. Just thinking to give it a try, if later I'm not satisfied then just cancel it within 7 days. Out of my surprise, it’s really fast with the download speed. Most of the time it’s exceeding 1.0 Mbps as I keep testing by using the speed test. I used Maxis before and their line connection is getting bad to worst. As for P1, I used the trial for 2 weeks before. The connection sometimes is ok can get 800 kbps/s and sometimes is slow with the download speed 300 kbps/s. It depends on your location coverage as well.

I still prefer DIGI Broadband for the meantime. Also, the modem is free. Contract is just 12 months. Maxis really con ppl as one of my friend has been using Maxis Broadband for almost 2 yrs and now he wants to terminate the broadband due to the bad connection and somemore overcharge my fren for the stupiak modem rental. My fren is very pissed off as Maxis supposed to give rebate to their postpaid user but they never do it. Also the usb modem is on lease. It's really ridiculous! Might as well go for CELCOM or Streamyx better!

i'm having the same problem, though my distro is linux mint, derived from ubuntu. my ifconfig and resolv is attached. the dns is opendns but the original dns didn't work too.

Added on October 2, 2009, 10:16 pmcrawling through the web, I've found others with the same problem, the networkmanager not getting an ip and defaulting to 10.64.64.64

don't tell me maxis is blocking non windows users.

Added on October 6, 2009, 1:23 pmpartially solved the problem via wvdial. You can check out my setting at mridzuan.livejournal.com

still... i'd prefer a proper support from NetworkManager.
