Yeah, i would agree with that, and he's actually in a group with players that he has beaten recently.. like Nadal and Soderling. Yeah, he's in a good position, no doubt.

It will be a great tournament. The venue is beautiful. Can't wait for it to start!

While Djokovic is in good form, don't forget these are the top 9 players in the world. His success depends largely on how much gas is still in the tank after his Basle and Paris wins.

lol.... Nadal vs Soderling.
I think Nadal has been longing for a revenge for way too long now.

Nadal just got blown away by soderling man. He still has to work hard to regain his top form.

Well, Soderling beat Nadal 6-4 6-4. Upset? Maybe not... I think Soderling made it to prove that its not a fluke that he beat Nadal in French Open.

And i think Federer sealed his No.1 spot after this match. =)

nope..Both nadal and federer has 2 matches left..so nadal still has a slim chance of beating out federer to the top spot..

got this info from atp.com

If Nadal goes 2-1 in round-robin play and wins the title he will earn 1,300 points. If that happens, Federer would need to either win two round-robin matches OR win one round-robin match and reach the final to beat out Nadal for the 2009 ATP World Tour Champion title.

Federer still got some work to do

Okay. Thanks for the correction. =)

But still, i think its quite slim for Nadal to overtake Federer.. Not that he really cares about it now. He should focus on recovering his best form. And he has to play against Djokovic soon... That fella is on fire now so i think its really hard for him to even qualify for semifinal.

Djokovic vs Davydenko, part 2... Shangai replay. laugh.gif

The reason Nadal lost?
One of it is his serves. Gosh.... his first serves especially when he was down 4-5 in the second set.... he only got 1 first serve out of 12. And the problem with his second serve is that eventhough it has tremendous spin, Nadal couldn't place it at a spot where Soderling feels uncomortable with... his legs, or rather the body serve.

Soderling played very well though, his backhands were absolutely clicking today.

In the 1st set Nadal-Soderling, at 4-5 40-30 Nadal serving, he hit an ace but was called out. Had he challenged the call, Nadal would have level at 5-5 but he didn't and Soderling forced deuce and eventually broke to take 1st set 6-4.
