ATPtennis Official Website - www.atptennis.com
WTAtennis Official Website - www.wtatour.com

Due to how crappy Astro is showing tenins nowadays, i advise you guys to watch it online instead.
Try websites like www.channelsurfing.net or www.bet365.com
About www.bet365.com, you will have to register an account, its free as long as you don't bet, then you can watch almost all the ATP matches there. The quality is great and its smooth. smile.gif

Wimbledon starts in 2 days.

But we just had a new Aegon champion. Congrats to Dmitri Tursonov, his ankle was pretty busted up though. But all the best to him in Wimbledon. Also a solid play by Frank Dancevic. Had some good rallies, but also one of the funniest moments in tennis all year.

He was in the middle of a rally and when was forced wide onto the deuce court, he couldn't stop himself and tumbled over Dmitri's chair!! That was really... embarassing yet a classic LOL moment.

But anyways, good luck to these guys in Wimbledon. Who knows, they could spring a surprise following the confidence they made through Aegon.

Federer will be chasing the history without his strongest rival around sigh.....

but hopefully Nadal will recover soon, Federer need the challenge from him to keep on breaking Slam records...

There is a great chance that we may get Murray vs Federer... But we shall see. Because anything could happen between now and the final.

Star Sports starts the event at 7pm.

So, I think... theres going to be a little bit of an opening ceremony and what not right? 8PM sounds right.

Yen-hsun Lu, Taiwan, vs. Roger Federer (2), Switzerland
Neuza Silva, Portugal, vs. Serena Williams (2), United States
Julien Benneteau, France, vs. Novak Djokovic (4), Serbia

No. 1 Court
Maria Sharapova (24), Russia, vs. Viktoriya Kutuzova, Ukraine
Robin Soderling (13), Sweden, vs. Gilles Muller, Luxembourg
Fernando Verdasco (7), Spain, vs. James Ward, Britain

No. 2 Court

Andrey Golubev, Kazakhstan, vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (9), France
Alla Kudryavtseva, Russia, vs. Elena Dementieva (4), Russia
Michael Llodra, France, vs. Joshua Goodall, Britain

Haha. They put Federer in the first match of Centre Court as Nadal withdrew himself from the tournament.

Emm. As usual today is the first day of a Grand Slam.. don't expect too much upset... But i do hope some top seeds will get some tough matches, except Federer of course. =)

Enjoy!

1 Nadal, Rafael (ESP) 12,735
2 Federer, Roger (SUI) 10,620
3 Murray, Andy (GBR) 9,230

Latest ranking.

If Roger Federer advance to Final (same as last year), he could be no .1 since Nadal would be losing 2.6k point.

Murray could be no 2, if he advance to Final because last year he only managed to get into fourth round. He could get additional 1400 points if get to Final.

Calculation based on this.

Grand Slam Tournament – 1000 points for winning, 700 points for the Finals, 450 points for the Semi-Finals, 250 points for the Quarter-Finals, 140 points for Round 16, 90 points for Round 32, 60 points for Round 64 and 2 points for Round 128.

Please tell me if my survey is correct or not.

Emm. Nope. Federer can only become No.1 if he wins the Wimbledon.

After Wimbledon, rankings points if Federer wins Wimbledon,

1 Nadal, Rafael (ESP) 10,735
2 Federer, Roger (SUI) 11,220

Ranking points if Federer reaches the final
1 Nadal, Rafael (ESP) 10,735
2 Federer, Roger (SUI) 10,420

See?

So basically only 2k point deducted rather than my calculation of 2.6k points. Where you get info from?

Grand Slam Victory = 2000 Points

But last year finalist would 1400 points, but now it only worths 1200 points. So if Federer reaches final again he would be deducted 200 points.
