install the driver..

then go to system preference > network..

the system will detect your usb modem.. choose huawei ...

edit the setting by click advance..

check "show modem status in menu bar"

if you want to connect via the tastbar... install "iStat menus" (there is network section in it) = http://islayer.com/apps/istatmenus/

I just successfully connect my MacBook to internet via the USB Huawei Modem. Wanna share with all.
I did ask to Celcom helpline... but.. as normal no reply. (email.. i lazy to call). After searching around..
I found the method.

My modem is E156G. (Three (3) brand Huawei)

Juz install the driver...
If not avail in the USB modem, here the link (for Max OS X10.5+):
http://www.ziddu.com/download/6901628/huaw...rivers.zip.html

Methods:
QUOTE
1. First, DOWNLOAD THE HUAWEI 3G USB MODEM DRIVER FOR MAC OS X (FOR INTEL PROCESSOR)

MODEM MODEL TESTED: E156G.
Other modem supported: E220/E270/E272/E169G/E160/E180

2. Make sure your modem is NOT CONNECTED to your Mac / Macbook.

3. After download, extract it and run the HuaweiDataCardDriver(2.6)-intel.pkg (double click it).

4. Then the installer will run and you just click OK OK OK.. etc etc.. till the program show "SUCCESS" with a green tick.

5. Plug in your USB Huawei modem.

6. Goto Network Preferences (Located in System Preferences).

7. Click the + sign button at left bottom side. Then you should see "Huawei Mobile" listed.
Select that.

8. Then at the right panel, select Default for Configuration. And Telephone number: *99#

9. Check the "Show modem status in menu bar" (so that easy for u to connect/disconnect to the broadband)

10. Click on Advance button under Modem tab, at Vendor list, select Generic. At Model list, select GPRS(GSM/3G).

11. APN set as "celcom3g"

12. DONE. Click Apply and try to connect by clicking the Connect button.

Hope this will help others to connect your MacBook to celcom3g.

I think for others should be similar if same modem. But u need to find out what i the APN name.....

Me tested the Alcatel One Touch 060s, its work on my Macbook Pro with Snow leopard 10.6.1. The driver is inside the modem, just plug into the Macbook, click on the package and there you have it.
