IC IC, nope, no need to buy any unit trust, this is not any kind of investment plan, just for savings

I don't want to be rude or anything, but doesnt this sound like a scam? There is no transparency, no information, nothing. From an unknown bank being done by unknown people and u guys are considering putting ur savings into it?

i would explain everything to you face to face, not on the internet. If you are interested, make an arrangement so that we can meet in a public place and you will be given every details. you won't have to pay or sign anything if you do not want in. Common sense pls, if it's a scam, i'll need u to invest your money first, then u'll get your "very high" returns every month or so to attract more ppl in. And there's no such thing as "unknown bank" because u either know the bank or it's not a bank at all.

Sounds interesting, but I have one question. What are the downsides to this type of savings plan? For such a potential high returns, there must be some kind of risk element involved, no? And, is this plan underwritten by any major insurance company?

the downside is u must prepare to put your money in the bank for at least 12 years to cover your cost, if u stop (terminate the contract) in the middle, you would loose money. you cannot touch your savings in this period, you can only take out the interest.

The money inside the bank is covered by bank rakyat, so if anything goes wrong (e.g bank bankrupts) bank rakyat will fork out the minimum sum of your savings, same as any bank in malaysia.
