like it or not, indie music is getting more and more "electronica", with the use of synths and effects becoming increasingly popular.

Still,it's not just indie.Even mainstream is getting more "electronica",as they are also using more and more syth and effects, badly.

I still think The Knife is the best in "electronica".

OMG, it's so true with Metric and YYYs. Both of their latest albums is so electronic-y and different with their previous works.

I didn't like No Age tongue.gif

I've not listen to Japanther though. Why do they sound so similar to Japandroids(band name-wise)?
Another 2 bands for indie music lovers, Cymbals Eat Guitars and Wavves.

Added on June 16, 2009, 6:52 pm

I don't think Phoenix sound similar to either Arctic Monkeys or the Kooks but their latest album is awesome though. Definitely worth a listen or two, IMO.

Japanther is really like noise pop but it's really, really fun to listen to them. Get Skuffed Up My Huffy.

And I downloaded Wavves' album a while ago, man WAS IT SO BORINGGGGGG! I almost fell asleep halfway listening through it.

Yeap,Yeah Yeah Yeahs's new album sounds more like TV on the Radio now, than their old style.

Still i prefer the new style though. The syth and effects is a nice touch to their songs.

Passion Pit started as electronic, so they didn't sell out laugh.gif j/k LOL.
Pendulum is not indie nor pleasing to the ears after 3 listens. ;P

Oh yea,M83.

One of the earlier indie bands that started electronics.

How about Ladytron? They are pretty much electro too.

I'm quite distraught(is this the correct word to use here?) that you do not like anything I've recommended so far.

I really really like them. A Lesson In Crime EP is one of my fav. EPs ever, I think I have Nature of the Experiment as my most played song in Last FM. Elephant Shell is also good but kinda disappointing since I have high expectations on them.

There's no custom charge as far as I can remember. You just have to pay the add. charge for international shipping which usually costs $7.
