at the end of the show, i can only recognize few transformers:
1. Optimus
2. Megatron
3. The Fallen
4. Starscream
5. Bumblebee

the rest, either i do not know their names, or they are just plain negligible. character development falls extremely short in this movie, all no-brainer action imho. no offense to those who love this show

Well according to Wikipedia, Soundwave's voice should have sounded like his animated voice but don't sound like it. But his head looked alot like the one in the animated series especially the visor, and if the voice was like the original it would've been so awesome. And to make it more awesome, Soundwave fire Rail Gun from space. Phew~

Haha. You raise quite a good point there about the maturity thing but wouldn't have the shard been in safer hands if it were with the Autobots and maybe they could also find out sooner about why the enemy is here on Earth and could have prevented many things from happening.

About that "girl going into the alley" thing, it would have been kinda forgiven in a way if what derives from that plot point is not too extreme, feasible or only have a minor effect on the overall plot of the story. Okay, so she was raped and all that, she learned her lesson as long as the impact of that incident doesn't involve her having to travel all the way around the globe to hunt down a bring-back-to-life potion to revive her boyfriend who tried to save her from the rapist in the alley because she didn't tell her boyfriend to pick her up after clubbing.

Yea. soundwave main trademark is his G1 voice. And I hope he really can do more than just float there . If decepticons already mobilized, he should too (extra con in the battle, extra threat) , especially when he is done "with his task" of sending out the message. Same like the receptionist in the malls. Sometimes in peak hours , those ladies come to the counter and help the cashier pack up things to reduce the queue line. hehe.






Well, definition of "too extreme" is very subjective to different viewers.

From your perception, I guess Titanic shouldn't even last that long, as both the "lovebirds" should be more mature/less horny in the beginning and NOT entangle themselves with each other , which causes further story development that focus mainly on their escape and finally with one dead. If they just practice self-control/maturity/moral values, Jack would be able to escape as an single individual , same goes for Rose. Their "dilly dally"/holding back each other might caused such tragic outcome (you jump I jump, etc. ) . "Titanic" after all, won't divert too much from its title/intended story :- The movie can still tell a story on various other colourful characters in that ship in their struggle to escape the cursed ship.

Watch it for 2nd time,i spotted Megan Fox face impression abit funny when casting,in 1 scene where they hiding in the building,her face looks like exciting & smilling until they cut the scene to Megan Fox close her mouth with her hands.

Specifically, it's an example of an "idiot plot". Sam was basically an idiot for not telling someone about the shard, e.g. Bumblebee - and Bumblebee was an idiot for not wondering why the household appliances suddenly came to life and making the connection to the AllSpark.

If either of them had been a little smarter - well, the movie might've been a lot shorter. That's the definition of an idiot plot - the story can only proceed if everyone suddenly becomes an idiot.

The key factor here is believability. A character doing something foolish that kicks off the whole story is forgivable, as long as we see them try to deal with it in smart ways afterwards. But if everyone acts stupid over and over again, for no other reason than that there'll be no movie if they don't... well, that gets very very annoying.

Because you no longer believe that these are real people. You start to see them as characters in a movie with a very lazy script.

Never watched Titanic... at least not the whole story. Just remembered the "You Jump, I Jump" quote cause when it was first produced too young to understand or let alone watch it. But the lovebirds were not expecting the ship to crash into an iceberg were they ? Haha.

I enjoyed it. It was a cool and fun movie, but that's about it I guess lol.

i've been hearing alot of complaints about the lack of character development by friends and family... but what they fail to notice is that there are so many characters in this movie that if each character had its own development, the movie would be 10 hours or more...

Its minor complaint. I think the biggest complaint is toilet joke. Anyone got any idea why Bay put it toilet joke?

actually i'm quite like the JetFire design in ROTF...

as for the so-caled "ROBOT Heaven", for me, is more like the matrix had affected Sam mind & the prime's been communicating with him inside his mind, rather than it is the R.H.

in G1, Decepticons is d one that found Jetfire...
and if not mistaken, Jetfrire was under Starscream command...
and that time Jetfire was kinda blur then decide to join Decepticon cuz SS said they were explorer...
then JF switch side cuz he dont want to hurt ppls....
rnd up being a transporter for Autobots if they want to go somewhere else...haha

then i would certainly prefer less characters but more screen time for each of them instead
that leo guy is annoying and negligible, same goes with many other transformers, many of the hardcore TF fans would have recognized them, but really, what is the significance of having them in the movie? the movie will still end up the same if those characters got substituted by other transformers coz they are not important in this show at all imho just my two cents

Just watched the movie.... got a couple of question

1. How the shard manipulate sam mind and make him become some sort of information for the whereabout of the machine?
2. Why are we seeing a terminator in Transformer movie? Can a transformer in any way, could actually transform into flesh and bones to mimic human? I remember they can do projection in vehicle, but terminator?
3. What sam suppose to questioned what is happening to his kitchen after the shard burn through down to the lower level? Dont he feel curious? The whole house was being bought down..... dont he at least check what is actually happening that just busy himself to college?
4. Presuming Optimus know about the fallen intention, i guess he is actually trying hard to work with human to eliminate any decep activities on earth, to prevent the revenge of the fallen. This bring to the importance of the shard which store the information? Cant they just hid it instead of sam owning it?
5. I cant remember correctly, but the allspark peice that panther lookalike robot stole from the military base was used to revive megatron right?
6. Why did fallen wait for so long for a whole scale attack on earth and threaten to get the location of the machine? With their capabilities seeing 3 deceps can defeat optimus? Adding fallen could be amazing. WHy wait and hid till optimus is dead?
7. If i remember carefully, at the middle to the end, sam was travelling with his fox, his college mate and the old psyco man together also with bumblebee and the 2 other twins car. How they pass through the patrol with the twin car unoccupied?
8.Hmm... transformer can teleport? That's new to me.
9. Knowledge is in sam head, but all i see is the tips from the old transformer robot and some astrology knowledge that lead them to the matrix. So even deceps got their hand on sam, they might not know the machine and matric location as well right?
10. Matrix key was in dust, then reform, why must it make it in dust at the first place? Its look really weird.
11. Sam come back to live? Why? Dont tell me to continue with the story?
12. Anyone can tell me why the person in charge of an aircraft carrier with a devastating secret weapon would listen to some nobody who been kick out from the military and fire at his order?
13. Can they just use the same weapon to destroy the machine or they one got one bullet? Why wait for optimus to do it?
14. The fallen look very stronge with his telekinesis power that can make an AOE lifting of all the vehicle and drop them down at ease. Why Optimus kill him so easily? Like no fight at all.
15. The fallen, starscream and megatron cant take on the mildly recovered but upgraded optimus prime? Weird. I expect, at least a good fight.

I got lot more, but so far, this is the most blur senarios i encounter.

Fun movie, but not great.

agreed.i was expecting to watch archee but end up only watching her in bike mode and a little bit of her during the final battle scene.if they really wanna show archee at least give her more screen time rather than being a filler.plus,her appearance is not really important i think.she don't even protect the cargo.
