Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures have set a July 1, 2011 release date for Transformers 3, but the studios have cautioned to Variety that the dating of the third installment isn't an official announcement that the project is going forward; rather that the studios wanted to plan a stake in the date.

Transformers opened July 2, 2007; Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen debuts on June 24, 2009.

So far, Transformers 3 has no direct competition in its July 1, 2011 date.


All I want is Hot Rod.

If all 3 Transformers movies don't have Hot Rod...

... I give up man...

I thought it was always intended to be a trilogy ?

2011 ? . I thought 2012.

Will Bay return to direct? Where would a Transformers movie be without him ! He must be super exhausted...

hooray....it's set 2 years later....
and i think it always will be directed by Michael bay......he's the one that makes this movie so successful
hope for same actor.....but more robots more explosions of course

i think we'll see Transformers 3 in 2012 since Micheal Bay wants to put aside dealing with robots for a year at least. so he'll rest in 2010. and he can continue working with robots in 2011. the they should give MB to take his time instead of pushing things forward. or else it will end up like Spiderman 3 where the 1st 2nd are epic and they cant wait for more and push Raimi for the 3rd so soon. and the result is just a half cooked Spidey. i hope Orci and Kurtzman will bring Unicron in. yeah~!

oh come on, Bay has a lot of movies going on for him. I want to see Ridley Scott, James Cameron or Peter Jackson interpretation for TF3. Had enough of starship trooperomers, Wachowski bros also known to be true to their source, and they are more of our generation kind of type.
