i will prolly get sc2 for the awesome user made custom maps / modes.

Just remember that Blizzard mention that they allow players to rate & sell custom maps. So I can imagine if there was a custom map/mod juz as good or better than DoTA, I don't think it's gonna free anymore.

i thought is premium map that will be sold not custom map by players?

Premium maps for the lose, who needs premium maps when half the maps produced by Blizzard are imbalanced, and Korean produced maps are always free

Despite being ultra fun to watch, Battle Report 4 can be easily said to be played on a Terran biased map(even the old lost temple was a terran biased map), the island expansions can be easily defended with some units there, floating Command Centres there isn't making the situation better (David Kim is far from Imba), the upper cliff on the natural expansion can be easily harassed. The middle part of the map is fairly open which usually give protosses a better flanking advantage, but in Starcraft 2 ,Terran units are just so much tougher and can fight head on (Which is SUICIDE in SC 1, 1 psionic storm and 10 marines die). Its also pretty odd to see SC2 tvp without a single spider mine and infantry units used as a staple instead

I agree that Terran seems to have an advantage. They are so much stronger now, in terms of mobility, resources gathering, firepower and unit numbers. I don't see any huge weakness in Terran; Protoss still pretty much inherit the same problems they have in SC1.

Then again, i feel that the biggest turning point in the BR4 was when YHL trapped his whole force in david kim's expansion, having to deal with the upgraded command centre while david kim's forces rape him from behind.

Starcraft II Beta is pushed back to 2010. Release will be in Q2.

So there are going for quite a short beta if it won't start before January and the game is planned in Q2...
Only 2-3 months for the beta I guess, I expected a little bit longer maybe.
