I've stopped playing on lappie for the week while it gets serviced somewhere (coffee spill) and using PC.Crit error after a few seconds logging in at Aden town. To make matters worse all of my toons are logged off there. I've gotten this:
2009.6.2 00:22:56 OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU : GenuineIntel Core2 Processor @ 2197 MHz with 2045MB RAM Video : ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO (6833) PosCode : LS6:148228:26336:-2191 2/1 Assertion failed: InPos<=Size [File:..\..\Core\Inc\FFileManagerWindows.h] [Line: 190] History: FArchiveFileReader::Seek <- ULinkerLoad::Seek <- TLazyArray<< <- FMipmap<< <- SerializeMips <- UTexture::Serialize <- LoadObject <- (Texture MKamael.UpBody.MKamael_m001_t01_u_sp 19981430==19981430/24949992 19914581 88781) <- ULinkerLoad::Preload <- PreLoadObjects <- UObject::EndLoad <- UObject::StaticLoadObject <- (Engine.Material MKamael.mkamael_m001_t01_u NULL) <- UMeshComponent::LoadMeshComponentByResourceManager <- FL2PawnResourceManager::Tick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop Help me interpret what's wrong so I can get all my toons out of Aden. I have no idea what to do, I r stupid. |

Yup. It's been going well the past few days until last night's Monday Lag Madness. Some friends have informed me that they've experienced a few critical errors too which was very rare for them.

It looks like the game engine had some problems loading the MALE KAMAEL texture or something. Not really sure how L2's error reporting works.
QUOTE History: FArchiveFileReader::Seek <- ULinkerLoad::Seek <- TLazyArray<< <- FMipmap<< <- SerializeMips <- UTexture::Serialize <- LoadObject <- (Texture MKamael.UpBody.MKamael_m001_t01_u_sp 19981430==19981430/24949992 19914581 88781) <- ULinkerLoad::Preload <- PreLoadObjects <- UObject::EndLoad <- UObject::StaticLoadObject <- (Engine.Material MKamael.mkamael_m001_t01_u NULL) <- UMeshComponent::LoadMeshComponentByResourceManager <- FL2PawnResourceManager::Tick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop To troubleshoot, try this, create a new character in lets say elf race, and see if it crashes (hopefully no kamael nearby your rendering range in elf town). If it doesnt, try creating a new kamael male and see if it crashes. If it does crash for both = Something is wrong with your pc itself, or the game engine is broken and checkfile wont fix that. I recommend a reinstall of the game, and if that doesnt work... repair windows. LOL If it only crashes for Kamael, the Kamael texture files might be corrupted, but checkfile doesnt pick it up somehow. Backup your entire lineage2 folder (yuou can just copy and paste it somewhere else) then try deleting all kamael textures and run lineage2.exe again and let it re-download textures from server. Once again it could be the game engine itself is broken just for kamael, so getting new textures may not help. If still crashing after new textures, Try reinstall. Oh I forgot, have you every played L2 on this PC before? Because if you havent it could be that your graphics card driver/directx may need updates. |
