Hi,

Previously, I am using Riger DB102 modem for my internet browsing. I am using dial up. Recently, I decided to connect my Riger DB102 modem to Aztech WL830RT4 wifi router. What should I do?

The following step that I will tried to connect :

1. Connect Riger modem directly to Aztech wifi router Wan port. (without setting anything and it use DHCP server: 192.168.1.1)
2. Configure Aztech wifi router to use PPPOE and DHCP server (ip as follow : 192.168.xx.1)

Is this connection correct? Do I need to disable DHCP on modem and just use router as DHCP server?

Thanks for reading and answering my post.

No need disable DHCP for ur wifi router, just to make sure your wifi router IP address don't same with ur riger modem.

PPPoE mode, remember put ur streamyx account with @streamyx.

If your username is abc, then put abc@streamyx in PPPoE mode as ur PPPoE account username

I think by default it is bridge mode and it use DHCP server. So no need to set anything on modem. Right, If will try to follow what you all suggest. Thanks for reply.

Yes, by default is bridge mode. But just for safety, please reset your modem by pressing the reset button about 10 seconds after you power on it.

I have a Riger DB102 ADSL modem and an Aztech NA8300 wifi router.
I managed to set up wireless connection but wired connections thru the aztech router doesn't work. It's either wired or wireless connection and I can't seem to have both of them at the same time. Anyone has any idea how to fix this issue?

Thanks.

On mac, forgot to change the IP address to the router's and on windows, juz had to release and renew the ip.

set modem as bridge mode (if its in router mode, reboot as factory setting) and the configure your aztech as router and select ppoe as encapsulation. Make sure your VPI=0, VCI=35

should be no problem bro since he's connecting through WAN port. So in this case, the router will be DHCP server

try connect the internet using u'r modem same as previously..if it's connected, mean u'r modem already set to bridge

2. If not, try to reset the modem again..on the modem. press the reset button for 30s. then connect again using a dialer
