In Malaysia, u shud get 2K for fresh grad

itu survey cakap saya patut dapat USD83,000 setahun

kalo dapat RM83,000 setahun pun dah hepi giler

tapi realitinya, hanya dapat RM 25,000 setahun (USD 9,000 pa)

this is average salary in a US city? looks like correct, checkout robertwalters salary survey.

is it applicable to Malaysia? the annual per capita and living cost is different

What an irrelevant list as far as Malaysian market is concerned.

I am an engineer in the US and that salary posted is indeed more or less accurate.

However, like many other have posted, it DOES NOT reflect the salary you will get back home. Not even close.

Another correction I would like to make is for all those who multiply the salary with the exchange rate and convert that to RM. It gives you a false idea of the pay. Since that amount is reflective of the standard of living in the US, as in you rent your apartment in USD, your meals are paid in USD, other expenses are in USD, etc. You cannot do the conversion really.

Your calculations of Avg per Annum is weighted on baseless statistics reports. It doesn't justify the current salary bracket in Malaysia in particular.
