Hi everyone!!!

I think in this very critical moment, those who sharing their internet to their house mates or neighbors that keep p2p 24/7, are really frustrated on their action hogging on bandwidth. mad.gif vmad.gif I have the same situation as one of my house mates keep using ppstream during the peak hour and left four of us clicking the refresh button....... rclxub.gif

BUT!!!!
THE SITUATION HAS CHANGED!!!!
I have been searching the internet for whole night, finding a solution to remedy this situation.....
At last, i have a solution!!!!!

Using a software name as P2POver!!!

I have been using this software since last morning and so far, it has serve its purposes just only a few times it exit itself without any notice.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! MAYBE WILL CAUSE YOUR COMPUTER/ROUTER HANG!!!!!!

The requirement for the software working:
A computer that is connecting to the LAN network and the latest of WinPcap.....

Recommended to use two ethernet port as i have notice my ethernet port is blinking although i am not using the internet...So i figure it out maybe the software is using ur computer to act as a router/server to limit the other user's bandwidth.....(If the assumption is incorrect, point it out..... i will make the correction...)But using one ethernet port is ok too....(I use one port too....)

How It Works?? blush.gif I don't know how it works, but it works as charm, and without alter any setting within the router/modem, or setting up a server to limit the bandwidth....U just need to install the software inside ur computer and setting rules, that's it!!!!!

Here is the procedure to change the language:
BEWARE : According to the main sites, having two of this programs running inside ur lan network will force one of the party to quit, but there is a remedy to solve it......Unfortunately, i haven't figured it out....Hopefully some of u guys will point out how to solve it......

After u install the software, doubleclick the icon name as P2Pover, and it will load the main page like this:
user posted image

Ignore the popup at the first startup.....

As u can see, the software is developed by the chinese guy so the default language will be chinese rite?

Now we are going to change the language:
First, find a tabs that is show below the image and clicking the first option
user posted image

After that a popup is show and click the last tab and select the language to english:

Then just click ok and fully exit the software. That's it!!!!

Now is the procedure to set the rules and apply it, the procedure is quite long, so be patient!!!:

First, select the adapter which u want to let the software to control other computer:

Second, setting the schedules for the rules to work:

Here is the interesting part, unlike other bandwidth limiter, u can set the time when the rules will work.... U can right click to select the whole part without clicking one by one.....

Remember to save!!!!!!This is crucial!!!!

I am sure that most of the guy will think this software as a malware or trojan, but i can assure you that it is not a MALWARE or TROJAN or VIRUS!!!!!!

Proof:
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/c70df21...19da66eb5de1e60

This is an online virus and malware scanner..... the software has passed the scan from most of the popular antivirus software like kaspersky, norton, avg, bitdefender.......Attached Image

It is using ARP-spoofing technology to cause interuption on other PCs. A similar program is 'Netcut'.
Personally, not recommend, it will cause your PC very busy and whole network will become unstable.
There is also a software to fight with ARP spoofing.
Trying searching for "Anti Arp Sniffer" or "Anti P2POver".

Yup, i have use netcut before, but comparing to this software, netcut only have the option to block the certain ip from access the internet, this software has the option to cap the certain ip bandwidth or cut it.....that is why i use this software to limit certain ip bandwidth not block the access to the internet......

Regards it is unstable, personal experience is this software haven't cost me any trouble, up to now.... just exit itself without notice.....

I agreed that it is unstable, but if u have the experience that having a housemate that p2p 24/7 and he just ignore your advice not to p2p 24/7, and u dun't have a router that can flash to DD-WRT or tomato firmware to set the QOS, this software might help u limit the goddamn person bandwidth....

Like me, i only getting a router which is D-Link DSL 2640T that can't flash the 3rd party software.......

IMO, buying a new hardware is best even though it is expensive however it will benefit in the long run. If you use the router's QOS function, then its more organize and secure (need to know the login password to enter modem). Furthermore, you even get a rock solid hardware that can perform better and with 3rd party firmware, you know its going to improve in the long run.

Just my 2 cents smile.gif
