Okay, to put things simple, the better quality your video signal feed is, the better your image will look on monitor.Notice the Farmer VGA box image look more crisp, compared to the other one? That is due to the Component input feed. You want clearer image?Try D-Terminal, or PS2-to-PS2 input, for TVs built in Japan only. If you can still find the PS2 cables that ends with RGB/VGA , that's great too.

Congratulation, you've just ordered the best VGAbox. Hopefully you have enough progressive game waiting coz you will never look back playing game in 60hz

It is not about the refresh rate, it is about the resolution. All this while composite cables only offer them in interlaced and at 640x480, your VGA box offers them in progressive and at higher resolution. 50hz or 60Hz have little impact on the game other than provide less "tearing".

Thanks smile.gif I'm waiting with baited breath... I just hope the shipping goes well hehe!

Just wondering, will the resolution be better if I use this VGA box thingy, or if I plug the video output into a VIVO graphics card?

do the math, it's listed completely.

$59.90 + $13 = $72.90

XE.com lookup = 1 USD = 3.79996 MYR

$72.90 x 3.79996 = RM277.017084

+ whatever interest rate (if any) or misc. fees.

You won't have to. Standard pc monitor can go up to 1280X1024X100hz in compare to tv its just 720X576. Use it directly with ur mon.

Shipping goes well here. in case KLIA called you, just tell them its for computer monitor to run away from tax. Until then, i'll be hearing ur good news thumbup.gif

That depends on what kind of TV you are referring to. 1080i is possible with standard HDTV, while LCD monitor TV is basically a marriage of TV and monitor.Gaming on cramped small size screen is not as fun as the screen resources you get from a TV, no matter how much cleaner graphics you get on a monitor. The small size of the monitor also masks the jagged edges, giving it a pseudo-AA, but washed-out and color blemish/smearing is all too often on a VGA-box. Play a extremely colorful game on that, and you will have a hard time identifying the color edges.

Pretty close to that, except the exchange rate is USD1:RM3.84 (using credit card mah...) so it's RM279.94... it had blardy well be better than that farmer thing...

How about using external TV tuner box (can work standalone without a PC)? For less than RM300 (the last time i bought at Lowyat is around RM27x)....come with remote contol, you can watch tv, and have S-Video input, composite input....the lastest model i heard have component imput as well........

i connect my DVD-player to the S-Video and output to Monitor.....very good quality....

There was a bulk order for this baby a couple of months ago...

I was one of them who ordered, and I was seriously amazed with the quality.

For those who are wondering how the quality is like, imagine playing a PC game on a resolution of 640x480 or 800x600. No noise or whatever nonsense.

Unfortunately, I sold mine off cuz I only had a PS2 that time and there were very few titles tat supported progressive scan.

Now i have an xbox, and i really wish i didn't sell it sad.gif

How much was the bulk price?

Anyway, I tested it today, and the quality really shows through. According to the manual, it even ups the resolution to 1280X1024 (I'm on 19" LCD)... fantastic!!! Only niggle is that the image doesn't cover the entire screen... top, left and bottom are fine but the right side has some space left...

i'll post screenshots later! Couldn't get any good shots... lighting is not good enough.
