There are too many negative story about SAAG nowadyas either from amarteur or professional advise. But we should remember that analysts have maintained that oil and gas support services providers — including ALAM MARITIM RESOURCES BHD, KNM GROUP BHD, WAH SEONG CORPORATION BHD, SAAG CONSOLIDATED (M) BHD and KENCANA PETROLEUM BHD — will be among the beneficiaries in 2H09 with Petronas and other oil majors likely to award contracts.

they include OILCORP in their list before the stupid incident happened, so analyst should not be trusted 100%, do your own analysis and understand the risk you are facing

Heard on the Street- Pref allotment buzz boosts Saag RR stock

28 Aug 2009, 0338 hrs IST, Apurv Gupta, ET Bureau

Chennai-based Saag RR Infrastructure, a subsidiary of $600-million Malaysian oil and gas firm Saag Consolidated, has been witnessing heavy buying from informed circles. The stock has gained close to 15% in the past one week.

Buzz is that the company is making a preferential allotment of about five million shares to three of Singapore-based strategic investors. The stock closed at Rs 24, up 5% over the previous close. According to brokers, the funds would be used to service the order that the firm has bagged for offshore modular workover rigs for ONGC.

When contacted, R Sriram, managing director, confirmed that the company is looking to make a preferential allotment but declined to divulge details. “The details are yet to be finalised,” he said. He also confirmed that company has about Rs 300-crore order from ONGC in hand serviceable over three years.

SAAG has enough contracts to remain profitable. It has enough contracts to remain profitable in the next two to three years. On the other hand, SAAG's exploration and production (E&P) of oil in Asia was still healthy. Btw, I've yet to buy this share. Waiting for 0.200. But seemingly hard to sweep.

Can you list what contracts they have? 'coz they haven't got any for the last 18 months.
Your statement is based on your projection? or based on your believe?

I dun see any O&G related contract they have.

All the analyst is looking at Kencana, Sapcres and Wah Seong. - no SAAG even in the list, but Sealink (start with S oso la) got la.

The current cash and contract can make the company survive till mid-2010.

i don't think saag got any contract recently, else it will be announced in the BMSB's announcements.
but then, nowadays even multi-millions contract can also be faked, check the case with OILCORP, the contract is cancelled right after the the real thing the director trying to hide is being exposed (the company got no cash at all (totally zero!!) and have multi-million debt, what they have is a fake large amount of receivables..

Yes you can chase those stock you mentioned. To seek gain for that stock, you need mch money. If you don't, forget that. Even the share price gain ten cents a day, you get nothing if you were not a big shark one ( coz the share price is not affordable for small bilis )

exactly, you need to hold 1,000,000 min to make a profit out of 1/2cts or 1 cts. In that scenario, no stock is "useless" as long as u can make $$

and no, I'm not chasing SAAG.
