My SB900 also like that. A little bit shaky (but not so shaky, just a little little bit only) left and right. But I think it is ok because it will make me easier to take off the speedlight from the body.

Once I lock mine, it's not shaky. Got mine for 1.4k last time lol.

So now what? RM3.2k for body alone? Crazy for price rise in this terrible time.

Is the price increase due to the fluctuating exchange rates or due to the demand?

I got no idea about the price hike. If the rumor is true, it will happen within this two weeks, that is why i stop holding back to buy myself a flash.

There's no AF motor in the D5000. That and the absence of wireless flash commander makes it a practical no no in my book.

Obviously Nikon took the D90 and did some cutting to get the D5000. Sensor same as D300. thumbup.gif

- Viewfinder. D90 using pentaprism 0.94X /D5000 using pentamirror 0.78X. So the D5000 image when viewed will look small.

- LCD. D90 3" 920,000 pixels. D5000 2.7" 230,000 pixels.

- D90 has in body motor. D5000 no in body motor.

- D5000 display has some funky aperture/shutter speed graphics. D90 dun have.

- D90 lens kit 18-105mm VR. D5000 lens kit 18-55mm VR. (No biggie. Just buy D5000 body and get 16-85mm biggrin.gif )

- D90 battery capacity 1500mAh. D5000 battery capacity 1100mAh.

- D90 has two command dials (one for shutter, another for aperture). D5000 has only one. D5000 more of a pain to use in manual mode. If you only use program, no biggie.

I suggest you go to shop and test both cameras. Most important to me is the LCD and viewfinder. These are the two things that you will use to interface with camera and evaluate your shots. If they are sucky, then you will not enjoy using your camera. The slightly less critical thing is not having two command dials. If you shoot using program mode a lot then it wont matter at all. If AF is must have for you, then note that it doesn't have in body motor, so lens selection will be less. Also I love the grid lines in the D90 viewfinder. I don't know whether this is in the D5000. For me, a must have for my pictures. Allow me to keep my horizons straight. thumbup.gif
