imo, if possible, get the highest speed incase u need to do some bursting. with highes speed, definitely the buffer will clear faster.

if i'm not wrong, for d90, u can only take 100 shots max then u have to release the shutter and then the meter magically goes back to 100 and then u can shoot another 100.
pls correct me if i'm wrong.

yeah...i think i saw somewhere wrote about that too...it say like the D90 body have the limit...even if u have buffer to go for maybe another 10 or 20 pic, but they just lock it at 100...you will need to release the shutter and press it again...

1. In this case TWO are better than one. If you forgot to bring or lost one, you will still have one in hand. If the 16GB card is broken/damaged you will be thankful that not all of your shots are lost in that one 16GB card.

2. What do you want to shoot? The benefits of a Sandisk Extreme III 30mb/s are totally wasted if you are not doing much burst shots especially in RAW. A cheap Transcend 4GB SDHC Class 6 which imo has the highest transfer rate for a normal Class 6 card will do if you are not doing much burst shots in RAW or are doing burst shots in JPEG.

FOR RAW:
The Sandisk 4GB Extreme III will shoot a total of 11 continuous RAW at 4.5fps then the fps will slow down because the D90 buffer is full.

FOR JPEG:
The camera will shoot very comfortably at its advertised rate for the first 100 frames, then stop, for no apparent reason - the buffer counter suddenly runs to zero and the camera stops. If you let go of the shutter release button, the buffer counter jumps back up and you can shoot another 100 frame burst. This appears to be a designed restriction, rather than the buffer filling.

3. Significant difference of high speed CF/SD card will be seen on DSLRs that has much higher burst rate like the famous Canon 40D or D300+batt grip. A high speed card will have a significant benefit on higher end dslrs.
