Hi, would like to ask if anyone here have any idea when will be the qualifier for ACG 2009 in Malaysia for DOTA? Becoz it's like no news from the organizer yet even up to this moment... =(

Some of my friends that have team like to participate but so far non of us know how do we establish contact with the organizer for further information..

Btw, do winning Malaysia qualifier and representing Malaysia in ACG requires a team full with Malaysia citizen? Coz some of my friend's team consist of mixture of Singapore and Malaysian player as they know each other thru GGC.

I wanna know whether can we form a team with a mixture of nation or else we need to stick back to our own country. But definitely a mixture nation team plays better as what I heard from them =)

BTW, we know Team Kingsurf Dota also have 3 SG player and 2 MY player, what will happen to Kingsurf in ACG then?

How?? Anyone can help me to find out these 3 things??

It's WCG: Asian Championship. Not ACG

1. Asian WCG is not even officially confirmed yet - venue, dates and official games AFAIK is still unknown.

2. Judging from last year's Asian WCG, yes you most probably need full squad of Malaysians only. It's unlike ESWC rules that permits combination of foreigners.

3. If the above holds true, then KS have to shift players around. This is pretty normal...Paul Yan played with them during the qualifier but not at the finals in Singapore.

Well, apparently I received the same tip from my Korean friend as well.
But still, the decision to hold a qualifier (as per 2008) or to just pick up a team (as before-2008), solely on the hands of WCG Malaysia National Organizer. Till they actually announce something, the best we can do is...continue practicing.

To complete KeNcHI tip (assuming both our tips have same contents), the "still-rumored" Asian WCG 2009 Official Games will be DoTA, GH: World Tour and FIFA'09. My tips didn't give actual venue but it's "rumored" to be on July 4 - 6 in Singapore. Am writing about this in details on Multiplay, so check it out later okies?
