My guess is, when Jacob gave him the guitar case, Hurley was 'touched by Jacob' as well...

But seriously, the way Richard said it to Jack was damn funnylah . I laugh my hats off to that....after so many season, after sooo many theories...that was the million dollar answer to it...

Anyway, just out of curiosity....out of the usual characters that Jacob has touched, has anyone of them died of suicide or grow older?
Lets count out Locke (as Ben was the one that killed him, I dun think he could have hang himself dead, cause he can't kill himself) and the kids like Walt and Aaron.
Well, maybe Charlie...he did die of his own actions in the Looking Glass..but I forgot how we got contact his Jacob prior to the crash...did Jacob "touched" him as well?

He only have little things to eat for the first 40 odd days. Locke did catch good size boars back in those days and Jin is a fisherman.
Since then, he survived on his food stash from Dharma Initiative and left the Island on day 108.
Plus the Island was not uninhabited at all.
He was in Dharmaville/Otherville for the whole season 4.



Hurley was touched by Jacob after he got off the Island.
As for 'Jacob touched me', well, there are still plenty of times to go deeper than that.
How deep? Well, we'll just have to wait a little and see.
Jacob did not touch Charlie. It has not been shown in the show so far.

i believe so too.. i dont think just that one liner is all it is too it.. and its revealing nothing new as far as i'm concern..

At least, we know Richard can't kill himself.
That's why he can walk through that sonar fence.

ah yea..of course.. but i was referring to the one liner "Jacob touched me" which to me is basically the same as "i'm this way because of Jacob"


ah really? is that what it was? that would disappoint me tho.. because before, Richard said "..us" ..so i have this image of the Others in my mind of being special/protected..
