from the FAQ section, i knew that Asian PS3 are compatible to play JP region PS2 Games.
and i found a site to check back compatible list on here
but it does not show the result when i search "katamari"
Does anyone have original JP version PS2 Katamari to tested on their PS3?

u need a 60/80GB PS3 set to play ps2 games (region-locked)

if u have 40GB set, u need to play your ps2 games on your ps2.
