To all sifus here, my mushkin HP2-8500 cannot run at ddr2 1066 speed, which is the stock speed suggested by mushkin.. currently running at ddr2-1000 with CL5
even i set to any divider to use, will fail to boot.. i even +vdimm to 2.3v which is more than stock suggested but still cannot boot at ddr2 1066..
i have tested with intel platform with asus p5e paired with e6320 using latest bios, maximus formula bios, and rampage formula bios still cannot boot at ddr2 1066..
i also tested at my fren AMD platform with ta770-a2+ paired Athlon x2 4600+, still canot boot at ddr2 1066..
it cannot boot in any sitiution, even with stock i set the dram to ddr2 1066, or i OC the fsb to 400 and set the divider to get ddr2 1066
when i plug the ram, the mobo will detect ddr800 with CL5 rclxub.gif
is it the problem come from the ram? if yes, then can i change it with the shop because of this reason?? since the ram is working.. sad.gif
Anyone experienced this problem before?? anyone having the same ram with me?
plz help notworthy.gif

test w/ intel platform (since they're more tolerable tongue.gif ), one stick @ a time. it could be one stick defective. either one failed d test @ rated speed can enable u to rma d ram imo. smile.gif

gud luck bro... biggrin.gif

For DDR2, any speed higher than 800 is overclocked RAM. The manufacturer handpicks the modules and certifies them to run at a certain speed at a certain voltage. There is no true DDR2 above 800.

Thus due to this sometimes the handpicked 1066 RAM may not exactly be up to spec. As ah_khoo stated above, test 1 by 1, if any fail, RMA.

FYI, many 1066 sticks fail, like in the famous Crucial Ballistix 1066 Rev 1 case.

Ok, I would return the RAM. Go back to the shop and ask for 1:1 exchange if it's been only a few days. If not, RMA..

RMA it if it doesnt follow spec it has said.. no point further testing the product if the basic need is not fulfilled
