Full Version: Acer Aspire 4530 problem

All sifu , when i install window xp for acer aspire 4530 , after restart will bsod , so i check the bios setting chenge sata controller from ahci to ide , everytime i restart the machine will reset the bios . And need to reset back the sata controller again .Somebody who can help me ! Thanks .

Your mobo got problem or bios chip damage.

y`day i have a fren called me n also regarding this probs.each time he already set,it back to default,in the end,send back for waranty.and ask for a 1-1 replacement since its a new open box unit n have this probs.

this is normal problem with acer new model..seem buyer dont learn from pass experience...

Yup!i oso got customer complain about this problem.
Juz set back to AHCI n boot frm HDD first,hope can help.

i send to acer centre for rma purpose...but 1st i oledi did call their tollfree line at 1800881918...ask for guide and still fail, the support centre technician told me to send to acer service centre...this monday will send to their service centre...so again, wish me luck for the argument...ahak...

I also buy acer aspire 4530 and come with pre installed windows xp then i format to vista ultimate.... are u charge ur lappy battery while format?i do like that while format and stuck..after that,i full charge the battery,no more stuck at installation..

i believe its not stuck or hang problem. It just the bios reset the setting back to default everytime we restart.

Actually for XP user,
1. Don't remove your battery from your notebook you
2. Dont let your notebook running out battery

BIOS problems, the BIOS can't remember user configurations (Sata Mode = 1. AHCI Mode and 2. IDE Mode). i still find the way out for these case ... wait my post at http://7linux.forumakers.com and this forum too (sorry little ads ) biggrin.gif

i make a call already to acer serice center at subang jaya, they said stable BIOS still in Beta testing ... so wanna solved it? direct goto acer service center at subang jaya or berjaya timesquare 9th floor (Highpoint)
